Presenting dissemination methods as a presentation or defense
To present the suggestions on ways to disseminate the research findings as a presentation or defense, I would create a sample of the flyer and pamphlet and present it to my fellow nurses to check if it contains all the information from the research results. I would also create a power point presentation containing the important aspects of my research findings, print a copy, and distribute it to the community members, the community leaders, and nursing professionals. Using my social media handles such as twitter, Facebook, and Instagram I would relay the research findings to my followers in simple ways for their understanding (Martinsone, K. et al. (2018).
Rationale and responsibilities for publication of my research
There is an increase in the prevalence of obesity among the elderly (individuals above 65 years). This increase is likely to cause greater health issues in the future. With many diseases associated with aging, obesity in the elderly is likely to result in higher rates of chronic diseases and other health-related complications associated with obesity such as high blood pressure and diabetes ((McKee & Morley (2018).
The research looks for ways to educate the members of the local community, the community leaders, nursing professionals and other agencies on the benefits of healthy nutrition habits and significance of exercise for a healthier and happier community. Also, the research is intending to develop nutrition counselling guidelines for the elderly to ensure that they do not gain excess weight leading to obesity. The research is also responsible for developing health exercise regiments for the elderly to promote physical activity lowering the risk of obesity among them (McKee & Morley (2018).
