Vaughan Metropolitan Centre
Vaughan metropolitan center (VMC) is located at the intersection of Jane Street and Highway 7 in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. It became a city in 1991, changing from a quite collection of communities into an urban center. The communities in Vaughan used to live in their town centers or historic villages; thus, town planners aimed at building a commercial and business core at the intersections of 407 and 400 highways. In 1998 an official plan was drafted aimed at making Vaughan metropolitan center a focal point for commercial development and business activity. The plan became relevant in 2006 when it was decided that the Spadina subway line would be extended to Vaughan and the surrounding areas.
Building downtown has been the main goal of city planners in Vaughan since the 1990s. Vaughan metropolitan center happens to be the city’s new downtown. The downtown is aimed at promoting a vibrant modern urban center for businesses and residents having all the amenities such as restaurants, urban squares, multi-use urban towers, subway access, cycling paths, open green space, and pedestrian shopping areas. All this is aimed at making Vaughan a true live, play, and work city. Plans are also underway to come up with a mix of new housing options for the urban community, which will assist in retaining and luring new talent to businesses investing in VMC.
VMC has managed to attract international and national corporations such as the GFL environment, business law firm Miller Thomson, KPMG, and Harley Davidson Canada. Some of these companies have attributed their decision to set up offices at VMC to extensive infrastructure investments and development.

Canada Wonderland
It is a theme park located north of downtown Toronto in Vaughan, Ontario. It was opened in 1981 by a Great-west life assurance company and the Taft broadcasting company. It was the first theme park in Canada and remained the largest park to date. Currently, it is owned by Cedar Fair, and for the last five consecutive years, it is the most visited amusement park in America.
Boyd Conservation Park
