Two different types of technology can be used to enhance science or health teaching and learning.
There are many types of technology used in teaching science or health they include.”
Dynamic modeling tools
Interactive visualization tools
The current technological advancement has come up with many simplifications of teachers’ teaching skills in the classroom or online. There is a need to embrace the technology used in learning because globalization has made it that way (Dabbagh et al. 2015). The children get used to technological use as early a possible since the world they are being prepared to face is one that needs technological knowhow if not being technologically savvy persons.
- Dynamic Modeling tools
They are used in the classroom
Help students identify relationships and see cause and effect
It makes lessons more interactive.
Dynamic modeling tools are technology-driven tools used in the school curriculum to support sciences’ teaching and learning. Sciences and health need the identification of the causes and effects of scientific problems. These are the ideas that help teach and bring up technology-oriented students who can use technology for innovation in science and in doing research related to health (Herga, Čagran, and Dinevski, 2016). These tools make the lessons appealing and interesting for the children or students hence the interest in what they are learning.
3.Interactive Visualization tools
It is a section of graphic visualization in a computer science
Involves studying how humans interact with computers
Involves the creation of graphic illustrations of information.
Interactive visualization is a graphic visualization section in computer science that makes it easy to study how humans interact with technological products like computers. The knowledge acquired can be used to create graphic illustrations of information in class for better understanding. Sciences need illustrations that are quite relevant to the topic of study (Obe, 2018). Therefore, interactive visualization tools help students understand more about science, innovation, and how the study of science is of benefit in society.
4.Application of Dynamic modeling in science or health classroom.
Teaching graphical representation of cause and effect of a disease or any scientific concept.
Teaching other science in all grade classes
Teachers at all grades can all the use of airliners when there is no smartboard in the classroom. This is applicable when the students or children learn on a science or math topic that needs drafting graphs for comparisons of causes and effects, as earlier illustrated in this type of technology. The students use the airliner to pull dots at the bottom of the screen and use a pen feature to label the points with corresponding letters. This is a great way to examine the extent to which the student love using technology too.
5.Example of application of interactive visualization in science or health class
Interactive visualization tools like Projectors are used for illustration on parts of the human brain.
Other virtual reality concepts
Teachers can use interactive visualization at any level for studies. These tools include virtual reality machines, where the visual representation of the topics discussed is the only option that can bring out a clear understanding of the topics. Interactive visualization uses a collaborative visualization tool, where a class is put in a virtual class. They are taught using some real-life machines that they cannot physically obtain at the classroom time.
- Example of how the interactive virtualization tool technology can be integrated to meet diverse students’ needs.
Using stereoscopy
Video conferencing
Audio/ telephoning
The use of a stereoscope can be made in a way that supports the interest of the students. For example, to quickly enlarge the smaller organisms while in health discussion class, the microorganisms can be shown clearly in pictures using stereoscopes. Video conferencing can be convenient for a class using interactive visualization tools, a case of a science practical where a simulating machine isn’t easily accessible, and the teacher travels the outside country to access it and demonstrate the concepts using a video class or audio class.
- Example of how the dynamic modeling tool technology can be integrated to meet diverse students’ needs.
Making sure the students have the airliner for classwork
Teaching a science class using Gizmos
When Gizmos and airliner, a dynamic model tool, are used in a science class, it becomes easy for students to grasp what they are taught. Different students have different capabilities; some understand the practical aspects best while some understand best the theoretical narrations. To ensure that all their needs are catered for, the simulation and the practical aspects are of greater importance.
