The Federal TRIO

The Federal TRIO is a student’s outreach program that aims to help the disadvantaged finish their education. As a part of the less fortunate students currently in the United States, I would like to extend this application form in hopes that you will find me a viable candidate. According to statistics, the less fortunate students are 8% less likely to graduate on time. TRIO’s student service program is designed to identify and provide the necessary help for those who are unable to take care of certain fees. This document elaborates on how I (an underprivileged student) can benefit from the TRIO program.

I come from a low-income family and this qualifies me to receive financial aid from the TRIO program. The TRIO program has eight programs that are designed to help people who come from low-income families and those who suffer from disabilities. I have planned out my school budget and I am sure that finishing my course work will be a great challenge for me and my family. I am positive that one of the aforementioned programs would greatly benefit my situation as an underprivileged student.

My self-drive has led me to be the best in my class. Despite my unfortunate arrangement with my student finances, I have managed to maintain a steady student performance. It is to my knowledge that TRIO services are not strictly for higher education, rather; they cater to the entire education channel (middle school- post-baccalaureate.) This set up qualifies me to access the grants and services that TRIO offers. School, in general, requires a student to meet their basic needs and to also have a little more to appreciate the entire experience.
