The DATA Statute execution
The DATA Statute execution will effectively assist in addressing the financial transparency to foster the level of transparency on government spending. Likewise, the solution to the issues surrounding performance transparency is the effective execution of the provision of the GPRA Modernization Statute of 2010. This law requires that the federal agencies’ strategic initiatives, performance reports, and other essential performance data be documented on the performance.gov. The act also requires OMB to post and update the agency priority goals and the cross-agency priority objectives. Execution of the Act will help address the issues of performance transparency since it will make every government official update their performance reports on the government website. Posting and updating the performance records will make it easier for the citizens to track their representatives’ performance to keep them on the toe, and this will resultantly assist in reducing the performance transparency issues and corruption, which occurs when the public does not monitor the representatives. Moreover, transparency issues can be solved by implementing the Administrative Procedure Statute of 1946. The law is habitually seen as the first step towards a more comprehensive plan of public accountability. It capacitates the public to comment on the suggested policies and obliged agencies to incorporate in final rue an explanation of their basis and motive. The Administrative Procedure Statute requires agencies involved in the rulemaking to offer a general notice of the suggested rule and call the public for their comments. Therefore, the adoption of the law will assist in addressing and solving the issues with the transparency in the American government to make the government more transparent in its dealings and operations.
