Ryan, I would like to answer the question of the correlation between leadership and emotional intelligence. I believe leaders opt to be emotionally intelligent as their job revolves around working with people. Also, a leader may be needed to make a tough decision during stressful times. Emotional intelligence is the ability that will enable the leader to make a sound decision amidst a crisis. Emotional intelligence is the ability that will enable the leader to make a sound decision amidst a crisis. Additionally, as per (Robbins and Judge, 2019), leadership entails creating a positive mood among the subordinates. In order to inspire and put people in a positive mood frequently, one has to be emotionally intelligent as there may be times when you are in a negative mood, yet you are expected to not spill the negative mood to the subordinates.
