The Awareness And Use Of Survival Kit Products
The primary issue under investigation is the awareness and use of survival kit products. There exists a considerable knowledge gap in that people are ignorant about survival kits. They are not aware of their existence and purpose. It is an area that most marketing departments of organizations have failed to cover, therefore creating a complication in marketing survival kits and their supplementary products.
Background to the problem
When marketing survival kits, the community’s welfare has to be brought out strategically for maximum effect. A community-based tactic is what would lead to people participating in many initiatives related to safety. To ensure that marketing of survival kits and sister products is booming, meaningful partnerships aimed for the same should be considered. Nonetheless, liaising with the targeted communities’ community leaders would help address the challenges facing survival kits. However, this study’s primary focus is on tackling the following objectives:
Delineate the awareness of survival kits
Outlining reasons for obtaining a survival kit
Determine what consumers would expect to find in a survival kit
Statement of the problem
There is a vast lack of awareness in the awareness and in need of having a survival kit. In conjunction with marketing programs, health education has not yet achieved the anticipated effect in enabling the community to appreciate survival kits and their products. Many individuals are still ignorant and have continued being exposed to danger.
Approach to the problem
Validating the power that individuals possess, which is the ability to choose their health plans, connects them to know the importance of having a survival kit.
Methodology
Research design
The research design used was a study that cut across several topics and involved respondents from both genders.
Data collection from secondary sources
Secondary data was acquired from records from life Gear, census reports, and reports from departments in Life Gear.
Data collection from primary sources
Primary data was gathered from community members and employees from the organization. Questionnaires were used, and they comprised both open-ended and closed-ended questions.
Scaling techniques
Nominal scales were found to be perfect in this research.
Questionnaire development and pretesting
The questionnaire was first conducted on other organizations that also produce survival kits, and then the questions were revised to eliminate any ambiguity. This aided in getting a rough idea of which questions would be better understood by the participants. The interviewers then traveled to the location where the exercise was to take place. Excel was used in the entry of data.
Sampling techniques
A stratified sampling technique was applied in the selection of the participants for this research. About 226 persons were interviewed.
Plan of data analysis
After entering data through an excel spreadsheet, expressive statistics and bar graphs were done to analyze all the study variables.
