Study Habits of University Students
Abstract.
The study behaviors contribute significantly to the development of knowledge and perceptual limits. Study habits tell a person how much he or she can learn, how far he or she needs to go, and how much he or she needs to gain. It could all be selected with the aid of one’s study patterns, all through life. Subsequently, it is recognized that research patterns are indicators of educational or scholastic achievement. The relationship between research patterns and the scholarly execution of under-studies is studied in this review.
Introduction.
Study habit is; purchase a scheduled and time-consuming effort to devote one ‘s self to the assignment of studying. Without it, you don’t grow and become self-constraining in your daily life. Study patterns tell a person how much he or she can know, how far he or she wants to go, and how much he or she wants to get. It could all be selected with the aid of one’s study patterns, all through life. argued that the analysts had broken down the achievement of the pupil in the high, normal, and low order attainder’s, in this customary characterization, the perspective in the normal score of the gathering or the standard. Nonetheless, study habits vary from person to person, while attempting to allow students to advance by developing suitable study habits, we need an alternative set of boundaries that evaluate the individual abilities (Ebele, 2017).
The objective of the Study.
This research was based on the aims of:
1. To describe the study habits of the students.
2. To compare the study habits of students from formal and non-formal systems of education
3. To suggest measures to improve the study habits of the students.
Population.
The population consisted of undergraduate students, Masters and Ph.D. students. To be used as a sample in the study the population was further sampled. The survey was taken at random, however, without knowing people’s level of education. The sample taken was of 25 students who asked them via a questionnaire.
Research Tool Development and Data Collection.
Since the study was descriptive along these lines, the study approach was considered appropriate for the collection of data. Out of that, a five-point (Likert) scale questionnaire was developed. The questionnaire was approved by pilot testing of 25 sub-studies and the reliability of the questionnaire was 0.869.
Sampling technique.
We used the method of probability sampling in our case. With this method, we used a simple method of random sampling for obtaining samples from the population. We chose this process because there were more benefits to it. Significant favorable conditions reflect the effortlessness and lack of predisposition. Some of the challenges are the difficulty of obtaining a breakdown of a larger population, resources, costs, and that tendency can arise in different circumstances in any case.
Sample size.
We were taking a sample of 25 university students. We gathered data from them via a questionnaire. We asked questions to describe our analysis which was the most relevant. Such issues are added to the appendix.

Discussion.
From the results, it’s clear that the sample taken helped achieve the study objective. The respondents give their best answers to the question asked. Those that thought that using computers would help them more in their studies were 48% of the sample size. This showed that computers had much impact on student studies and study habits. Those who used libraries were also more than those who didn’t use it. This implied that the use of libraries had a positive relationship with the study habits of students in the university.
