Explain your field of study and why you chose your topic. On what specific trends did your essay focus, and why are these trends important to your field?
Nursing advocacy is a field that advocates for nurses, patients, and the community pertaining to health matters. As described in the signature assignment, nurses are influential members of the health care system as well as the community. Nursing advocates can greatly impact public policy through advocacy from an excellent viewpoint (Hanks et al., 2019). Nurses’ professional and personal experiences in the field can help support and explain the patients’ healthcare needs to various political constituents to improve patient safety, access to healthcare services, and increase the quality of care. The reason for choosing my topics is that nurses are well adored, valued and trusted by the community, and this can be helpful when nurses advocate for programs that will improve patient and community care. The trends that the essay focused on is patient-centred care and community awareness of community health issues. These trends are very important to my field since they determine both the patients’ satisfaction and the general health of a community.
Why would your essay be of interest or value to a future employer?
The essay would be the center of interest and value to my future employer for certain reasons. First, nursing advocacy is essential for a nurse to be able to offer adequate care to patients. It means that I am familiar with patients needs and how to tackle them by inputting the necessary effort to enhance patients’ satisfaction. Secondly, the essay identifies the aims of nursing advocacy. My future employer would be interested with the aims of nursing advocacy since it will be used to train other nurses and eventually make them part of nursing advocates, thus contributing to a skillful working environment that enhances patients’ satisfaction.
Which method of the organization did you choose for your paper and why do you believe it was effective?
The method of organization that I chose is the process. Nursing advocacy involves steps that need to be followed to successfully achieve the goal of nursing advocacy (Ridenour, 2016). I believe that it is effective since it is entailed to assess the need for patient advocacy and planning and implementing advocacy actions. This process focused on working with clinicians with different health specialties, including community-based organizations and the patient; a multidisciplinary approach that ensured that patients have access to coordinated and holistic health care.
What type of sources did you use? Journals, websites, books, etc.? What strategies did you use to ensure these sources were credible?
Journals from Google Scholar are the major sources of information used for my work. To ensure that they were credible, I examined the sources’ and authors’ credentials and affiliations and also evaluated the sources cited by the author. I made sure that the sources are up-to-date and that the sources publisher is reputable.
ENG101 focused on writing purpose, content, correctness of expression, organization, and attribution (citing sources). How will these skills benefit you in your future career?
These skills will help me in presenting my reports, research works and academic writings appropriately in my future. These skills will enable me to critically digest what is required of me before starting writing. I will be able to present my contents skillfully and express my points correctly and in an organized manner. Citing my work is essential. It is very important to attribute the sources of information to adhere to writing ethics (Sly, 2016). Therefore, I will be able to avoid plagiarism in the future and present my original work.
