In the dynamic world, the success of organizations is determined by the ability to deal with market changes.   The business environment is full of challenges that affect the growth and ability of organizations to achieve their goals. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the managers to carry out the required changes in the organization by changing the formal and informal structures of the organizations. To create an effective and long lasting organization change, systems and structures within the organization are considered. Saudi Arabia is among the ever-changing markets.  In the last three years, Saudi Telecommunication Company (STC) has gone internal changes as a way of fulfilling its plans.  This essay focuses on the change that Saudi Telecommunication has gone for the last three years, as well as how it has used systems and structures to deal with uncertainty in the environment.

Recently, Saudi Arabia has shifted from oil trading to oil excavation and export. Through this government wants to ensure there is plenty of corporate jobs for the people of Saudi Arabia.  Saudi Telecommunication being the largest telecommunication services provider in the Middle East has undergone internal changes to respond to this complexity in the environment. It has modified its formal structures by clearly defining the duties of the employees. Besides, it developed sound communication systems to ensure workflow and coordination of the top management and subordinate, thus making it part of the organizational culture. System and structure changes have included a massive expansion that has resulted in the restructuring of Human resources. Training and development of the existing employees have been made part of the organizational culture.  Teamwork was emphasized and considered part of the change.

STC has used structures and systems to deal with changes in the environment of requiring quality services and providing job opportunities.  Through emphasizing on the division of work into groups, it has ensured high-quality output within the shorted time.  Restructuring human resources have provided more opportunity for new employees in the company, thus responding fully to environmental uncertainty. This approach was appropriate as it ensured TSC continue leading in providing telecommunication services. However, the existing systems and structures could have brought the desired change if the procedures and functions of each worker were diversified. Such that each work could be given a specific task, thus creating some space for other workers to be employed. Lastly, these existing structures and systems affected the executives of the company to bring about the change as they were worried about their position in the STC.
