ROLE MODEL
When we are young and growing up, there is continuously an older person whom we appreciate and want to be like them for many motives. It is frequently a guardian, cousin, sisterly, teacher, or uncle/aunt, who we look up to and copy. Some of us could do it purposefully, while others will do it without comprehending how influenced we are getting from them. Still, as time passes, we start getting motivated by new people as our interests begin taking a new direction. They are referred to as role models. Just as a model embodies an inspirational ideal, a role model inspires others to follow their good behavior; this is an individual whose behavior can be imitated, especially by the younger generation. It is crucial to have role models to guide our day-to-day activities and the direction to take, especially where important decisions are needed because they have made that journey. They can help you not make mistakes; in other words, they influence what we become ultimately.
Role models are necessary for self-improvement since we must have a standard to struggle for or relate. All great leaders, businessmen sportspeople have one shared characteristic: they all have a role model or an individual that they try to be like in some way and eventually end up doing things better. My role model is Barrack Obama, as he has shown excellent leadership skills; in the two terms he was in office, he was able to achieve a lot of things and impact positive changes to the society. He has high moral values as he is an honest man and supports worthwhile causes like being involved with charity organizations. He encourages everyone to stand firm in what they believe in as long as it is genuine.
A good example was when he was running for the president’s office for the first time, and he faced significant opposition and criticism for being black. Still, he knew what he wanted and believed that his goals were genuine and were for the people; he believed in himself, which caused him to be the first black president of America’s united states. Barrack Obama is a confident man; respectable role models have a healthy way of appreciating their endeavors; they can recognize their accomplishments without being vain or rude.
Moreover, he is a hard worker who commits to an anticipated goal and eager to invest the required time and effort to attain success. He does not let go smoothly. His desire to succeed motivates me to follow through and reach my goals. I admire how he respects himself and others. Everyone appreciates being treated with respect. Role models who exhibit selflessness and an independent, non-prejudiced outlook of those dissimilar from themselves earn others’ respect. Barrack Obama is a creative and optimistic individual; he inspires others with a cheerful, optimistic outlook on life. No one would ever want to imitate a pessimistic person. Obama sees the positive side in challenging situations and can look for creative solutions to their problems.
In conclusion, role models are significant and essential people in our lives. They assist us in becoming the people we aspire to be and inspire us to create a difference. Choosing wisely, our role models means that you will be prejudiced and encouraged to be the best person. When selecting a role model, it is vital to consider someone who has a sense of purpose. It’s good that they are individuals who know who they are. You don’t desire someone who appears to be perfect but doesn’t have a sense of purpose. It’s essential to have someone who is not pretentious, forcing to be someone they are not.
