Wednesday’s vice presidential debate was, in numerous ways, may have been traditional in many ways than the presidential, but it stood out in numerous ways has not been normal. Given the continued coronavirus outbreak in the Whitehouse, I believe that the in-person debate should not have been conducted. While the Vice-president tested negative for the virus CDC regulations and preventions methodologies, individuals who have come into close contact with a COVID-19 positive person-which according to the CDC is defined as
six feet for a total of a quarter an hour or more starting two days before the onset of the COVID_19 symptoms should be quarantined for 14 days, even if they end up not testing positive.
Another important point I noticed from the discussions is that both candidates made notable deflections. While politicians are wont, both the vice president and Mrs. Harris participated in mild overstatements and rhetorical flourishes. Still, it is important to point out that the vice-president was by a mile way too dishonest. At several junctures during the interview, he wanted to point out individual milestones that are non-existent and seemed too eager to misrepresent the former Vice president, Mr. Biden. The vice-president also over and over changed the topic when asked a difficult question. For instance, he skirted a question about the current administration had a plan to protect citizens with existing medical conditions if it continues to do away with the ACA. The administration does not have a plan. At another point, he remained non-committal on the question of whether the State of Indiana would ban abortions all through if the Supreme court does away with Roe Vs. Wade.
