Hi after going through your work I have learned how big data is used in the healthcare system and I have clearly understood the pros and cons of using big data. First of all, big data in healthcare is the utilization of electronic health records (EHR) computerized physician order entry (CPOE) and machine generated or sensor data such as studying vital signs (Shafqat et al. 2020). One advantage of using of using big data like EHRs is that there will be improvement of patient care and outcomes since EHRs have the ability to exchange and provide health information electronically to facilitate better services by healthcare providers (Heart Ben-Assuli & Shabtai 2017). Despite the pros of using big data such as EHRS there are also some cons such as the possibility of health insurance portability and accountability violation, possibility of hackers hacking into the system and finally challenges in data entry. I have also learned that there some methods which can be used to reduce these risks and challenges. These methods include logging out of your computer which will prevent any unauthorized person to access the information. In addition to these the parties involved should double check orders which would prevent some errors which will male data entry easier.
