RESEARCH STRATEGY
In identifying Younger Teachers – Professional Information Sites, we started by examining the general sources of information for k-12 grade school teachers with more focus on younger teachers aged from 20-35. We found out a report on K-12 educational and informative websites with rankings according to their popularity on social media. Those sites ranked are teacher oriented and the rankings are based on their Facebook fans and Twitter followers.
Next, we examined reports on demographics trends on Facebook usage and found out that the millennials (those aged 21-37) are the biggest users of social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter [1]. Then, we triangulated the ages of the younger teachers using professional sites for information by assuming that the number of Facebook fans and Twitter followers K-12 websites have are directly proportional to the number of millennial teachers using those sites. Hence, we concluded that the number of social media followers on K-12 information sites predominantly feature the millennials.
We have presented the list of top K-12 educational and informative websites on the attached spreadsheet. The sites are ranked according to their social media followers since we assumed that younger teachers go for information about their profession on social media sites.

Education Week is a K-12 education new site [3] with a frequency of approximately 56 posts per week. On Facebook, they have 190,308 fans while on Twitter they have 767,116 followers [5].
