Research Methodology, Design, and Methods
The research methodology that has been selected for this research is the quantitative research method. A quantitative research method focuses more on quantifiable and statistical data. The main aim of the research methodology is to provide a statistical explanation of issues that might be affecting an organization or population. The research design that has been selected is the non-experimental research design (Benoit et al. 2018). In non-experimental research design, the research is not able to manipulate or alter the variables. The research method that will be utilized is archival study. In the archival study method, the researcher uses data that has been filed by other researchers.
Research Methodology
Quantitative research methodology stands as one of the research methods that are utilized to provide answers and explanations to specific issues. The research methodology is applicable in the case at hand, and this is because of the nature of the problem. The issue that has been identified is increased employee turnover due to the decreased number of sick leaves in a year. In this case, there are two problems that are affecting the other (Nakajima & Telyukova, 2017). The problem of a few sick leaves in a year is promoting the problem of employee turnover. The quantitative methodology will be used to show how the issue of sick leave is affecting employee retention.
Research Design
The research design that is most suitable for the case at hand is a descriptive research design. A descriptive research design does not solely depend on primary data. Given the fact that the research does not rely or depend on primary data, using the design will be a strategic move to make.
Research Methods
The research methods that are suitable and applicable to the problem that has been presented are quantitative. Quantitative research methods help to provide explanations of statistical data. The type of research method that is used is dictated by the type of research question that is presented. The quantitative research method has been utilized from the beginning of the research. Uniformity is essential in research. The research method that is identified at the beginning of a research must be the same method that should be employed in the later stages of the research. Descriptive statistics will be utilized in the study with the main aim of providing valuable descriptions.
Data Collection Methods
A systematic review is the data collection method that will be used. The research is different from experimental research. The research team has no intention of collecting raw data. It, therefore, means that the research team can only rely on secondary data. Relying on secondary data demands the utilization of a data collection method that is in line with data that is targeted (Benoit et al. 2018). A systematic review is a method where the researcher identifies secondary materials and selects the pieces of data that are likely to be most effective and suitable.
Sampling Design
Systematic sampling will be the sampling design that will be used. Systematic sampling design is suitable in this case because the research team is already aware of the type of data that is needed for the research.
Data Analysis Procedures
The data analysis method that will be used in this case is the t-Test. A t-Test focuses on statistical data to test a hypothesis. The problem at hand has been furnished with three sets of data that will be easier to test with t-Test.
