Introduction

Modern workplace currently is a casual environment, fluid whereby life-work balance is considered depending on the way of life of the company. According to employers currently, the rigid, old style of management reduces efficiency in the workplaces. The workforce has been blended by the environment of the modern workplace, which is also responsive to solving workforce problems. The employees utilize current software, and example of them includes Google Docx and Skype. For a modern workplace to be productive, several factors need to be considered for instance communication in the workplace, characters of the workers and the manager, purpose of the business, creativity of the workers, the learning capabilities of the workers, and how the workers relate.

Character

Different people are comprised of a workplace, meaning that different characters of people come together in the workplace. The ability of workers to capitalize their strength is very important, and it only works when workers have good character. The character involves behaviour and respect; the way a person behaves is the way other people will treat that person.  Workers having good characters are beneficial in the workplace whereby relationships increases the bond between workers, which results in good teamwork and at the end, they end up providing high-quality service in the workplace. Under character, several values determine it, which are integrity and trust.

Trust is the core principle of relationships, and relationships are what build a successful business. Firstly, the relationship between the workers of companies and clients. Clients cannot purchase products from people he does not trust. Trust affects the good relationship between workers and the management staff. It makes workers to be opened minded and speaks what is in their hearts. This reduces depression among workers and at long last, thanks to trust, productivity among staff increases. Every business is built for success, and for progress to take place, workers in the organization need to be united. Unity is brought up trust and for people to trust each other, and for people to trust each other, they need to have good characters. All these perspectives are connected to enhance the perfect business environment in the workplace. Trust also improves morale in the workplace between the management staff and the employees. It makes people have a feeling of belonging in that one feels he belongs somewhere. It also creates equality in the modern workplace whereby if the employer trusts the employees, he will treat them equally to maintain trust hence creating equality.

Purpose

Purpose displays a reason for doing work in the workplace. Why is the work done? The answer to that question explains purpose clearly. The purpose has a very important significance in the workplace because the level of production and quality depends on the intention. For instance, do the workers work because people work? Or just to get paid? How do they respond to vacations? Are they happy if given one? Employers need to know the purpose of employees in the workplace because if they do not, it may affect the workplace negatively. However, if the workers have the right purpose for business; for instance, they work because they love what they do or if they love their career, the business will benefit. After all, the works will provide high-quality services and more production.

Purpose works hand in hand with motivation. If the employees are willing to take the company forward and archiving the goals of a company, it is a clear display of motivation. The higher the workers are motivated, the more productive they become, and the more they produce high-quality services. Highly motivated workers become engaged with the operations of the organization, meaning that in case of unease appears in the workplace, they are able to handle, making them problem solvers. It also makes workers more creative, innovative and customer-focused. It is from highly motivated workers that customers become more satisfied with the services offered. For the motivation to take place, workers need to be paid early, good salary and respected by the employees. Motivation is a virtue that can be quickly tempered with a slight mistake like delay in salary without informing workers in advance. Therefore it means being open can maintain motivation in addition to communication.

Creativity

Fostering creativity in the workplace is the answer to the success of the workplace. It is from being creative, coming up with good ideas that a business stays in the competitive market.  This mainly works in the urge of making a company prosper. Creativity can come from the manager, workers and practice consulting. Creativity increases inspiration between workers to work together. It brings the works together whereby if a worker has an idea; he will need approval from others to see if the concept is effective. By doing that, it brings workers together in evaluating the concept hence work effectively to benefit the workplace. Creativity also helps in retaining and attracting employees. By showing workers that open-mindedness is allowed in the workplace, it creates a room whereby more workers will want to work in that business, and it also attracts others.

The major subtopic of creativity is innovation. Innovation is where an organization utilizes the creativity that came up. In simple terms, creativity without innovation is useless. Innovation increases the drive to do certain things in the workplace, for instance, expanding the marketplace. Innovation, in addition to creativity, is the major issue for the success of the business. Innovation is most of the time used in strategic planning and when coming up with a new product. Innovation, at some point, is not easy to implement reason being that it involves letting go of how the operation takes place in an organization and welcoming new ways of doing things. The changing of operation is not easy. For any work to change, they need to be risk-takers. The new idea is not likely to work, but taking a risk pays because there is always a reason for the improvement in the workplace so as to be competitive in the competitive market.

Learning

Continuous learning is very important in the workplace. There is a difference between how one acquires knowledge and how they discover new things. Modern workplace learning is what relates to the two issues. However, learning is the right way of coming up with creativity and innovation, which helps the production and success of the workplace. Workers in a business setup learn from one another, and this increases unity between workers and the employee. Learning can be helpful in maintaining ethical behavioural values in the workplace setup whereby if one worker has good moral behaviours than others, the others will tend to learn from them, increasing moral values which at the end it benefits the organization. For learning to take place, workers need excellent adaptability skills.

In response to circumstances which evolves gradually, the ability to learn new knowledge and skill is the adaptability. Workers in an organization need to be adaptable for them to grasp new ideas and put them in practice. The high rate of adaptability is advantageous to a company whereby if workers adapt to new ideas and keep them in practice, it propels the company to move forward because the workers become productive, making the clients happy. If the workers have high adaptable values, they use their past experiences in tackling issues and unexpected challenges. Workers need to be versatile because they become flexible in implementing new ideas, and it is easy to accept if a design will succeed or fail. In the new modern workplace, unexpected situations and new ideas usually come in unexpected time. If the workers have adaptable ethical values, they become flexible, and in the long run, they deal with such issues.

Relationships

The relationship between management and employees is essential in the workplace. Excellent communication increases relationships between workers and management increase productivity of the workers whereby the workers formulate the information from management and applies actions towards the information. Communication between workers also is effective in a workplace in a positive way whereby it increases collaboration culture. In projects; they work together because of good communication. Without good communication, difficult challenges arise whereby misunderstanding comes in dividing workers. If the workers are divided, they do not collaborate effectively, decreasing the quality of services and production.

Under relationships, communication is the main sub-topic. Communication has several advantages and one of them is avoiding confusion. If there is no good understanding between the workers and management, it brings about confusion and workers ends up doing what they are not supposed to and not following instructions. This makes workers produce poor quality work and can also lead to mismanagement if the managers do not understand themselves and the workers in large. Communication also provides purpose in the organization. It creates purpose in whereby workers work in accordance to information received. If the communication is not effective to the workers, they do not produce what they are supposed to. Business intent is started by improving information in the company. Most of the time, communication definers if a leader has good leadership skill or bad leadership skills. It defines goals of a company so as to be clear to the workers. In most cases, interviews in organizations are based on the communication skills. For, instance the interviewees always looks at, oral communication, public speaking, written communication and adaptability. Without communication, workplace cannot continue.

Conclusion

In conclusion, modern workplace success depends in the values discussed. If the workers realize what they are needed to, which includes how they relate to each other and to the management, productivity of the workplace increases and finally increasing the success of the workplace. It is important for workers to learn from each other to be creative and the creativity is supplied to the workplace through communication. These values also makes workers know their purpose meaning that discussed values relates to each other. For modern workplace to be successful, discussed factors needs to be considered.
