Throughout the process of a car dealership, there is a wide range of data collected to ensure the proper flow of the business’s entire process and mastership. Rashan Car Dealer collects information about the clients. The clients’ data about their place of residence is very important because it helps the management establish the customers’ key market targets and preferences. Additionally, from the customers’ side, we take their feedback on our services, and after a year, we do a follow up to establish their feeling towards the brand. The feedback data helps to identify the cracks in the business and seal them before we lose our potential customers and referrals. The information derived from the data is on the bestselling vehicles, the customers’ preferences, points of improvement, and the business’s financial growth yearly.
Rashan Car Dealers uses two types of information systems. There is the transaction processing system that processes day-to-day transactional operations like purchase orders. Another information system is the management information system adopted by the managerial team to track sales, historical operations, and performance data.
Part II. Review
There are two main dimensions of process quality; effectiveness and efficiency. Process efficiency is the ratio of the process outputs to inputs. The process effectiveness measures how well a process achieves the set organizational strategy. The efficiency and effectiveness of a process can be improved in three ways. The first method is through a change in the process structure, transforming the existent structure to adopt another structure for effectiveness. The second method is making a change in the process resources, which entails re-allocating resources at different stages. The last method is controlling the data quality and also the process flow.
Information systems are very key in ensuring quality processes for efficiency and effectiveness. The information systems are important in organizing business data. An Information system ensures that the management avoids any form of crisis by analyzing the share of the market and the previous performances. Storage of information is a key role played by the information systems on business enterprises. The information stored becomes the point of reference for the company’s decision making processes. All these are essential in keeping the business in track and ensuring that the processes are effective.
