Radiology program Admission Essay
I first discovered my passion for radiology when I was in high school in my junior year. I was afforded the opportunity to witness activities such as ultrasounds, tensor imaging, MRI scanning, and other tomography activities in our school clinic. Since then, I find radiology quite interesting and appealing because it entails wide-range life-saving, and would like to base my life around it. I also participated in taking care of my grandmother, who has been battling rheumatic arthritis for eight years. I would often help her take her medication, assist in physiotherapy and injections from time to time. I have also volunteered in healthcare institutions, and from these experiences, I have learned great lessons regarding the dynamics of patient care. My personal experiences are beyond my resume and given a chance to enroll in this radiology program, I will yield the best results because I am a good team player, have excellent interaction and communication skills, which is my special characteristic.
I have chosen this program to fulfill my purpose in three major ways: unending learning, helping people, and being challenged personally and professionally. I am confident that I will grow in areas other than human anatomy, i.e., problem-solving, leadership, and decision making. My greatest weakness is that I do not give up until I achieve my goals or any particular task that I have proposed to. In my last job, I used every resource to my level best to achieve my highest potential and came out as the most hard-working employee because I have excellent knowledge-seeking skills. My strong interest in the medical field and the desire to help people by saving people’s lives is what motivates me. I have a personal car which is a reliable means of transport to school. However, I also have an alternative means, which is my parents’ cars. I am currently not working, although I am a volunteer at the American Red Cross in my area. I can succeed in a hybrid program because I am self-inspired, goal-oriented, driven by personal instinct, and dynamic, which means I can learn in any environment to achieve my dreams.
