Purpose and Goal of Mobile Application Theory
Mobile Service or Mobile Self Service has a lot of purposes, in this case, one is allowing the software to be able to work without the user having to do anything, also known as human interaction. In detail,
self-service apps have the purpose of giving users the ability to access such a policy of things like online ordering, prior orders, shopping carts, and even perhaps customer service links as well as numbers (algorithms). The other purposes include giving users of application the ability to look at descriptions and benefits of reviews and other information that they may need, sizes, fits, etc. Goals for self-service should be the ability to give users access to these resources as painlessly as possible while being able to save as much time as possible and being able to handle as many as many customers as possible.
Another goal of self-service apps should be to allow users to complete the process of ordering without any need of input from outside sources other than the product itself as it learns the user and/or users. Target Audience for these apps can vary depending on their uses, though in this instance the target audience is those who want to be able to access information, order items, or complete other transactions online on their mobile devices or web browsers. The goal of hitting the target audience should be to cover as many of these potential users as possible while still catering to the mobile audience as they are the primary target. In this generation, more users are on mobile platforms than on the website meaning that we could ultimately make our desktop website work in a mobile way. The audience’s needs and wants should be specifically catered to while allowing for maximum capabilities of the application. Ideally to cover the audience’s needs as generally as possible by creating the application to allow for flexible usage across all platforms, mobile as well as home devices such as laptops. To cater to the audience’s needs, the application needs to run smoothly as well as give users the ability to; find information about items, order items with varying traits (size, color, etc), check previous orders or order history, as well as access support functions and numbers. The Audience wants will always likely cater to ease of use as well as availability and flexibility. Feeding the audience wants is going to rely heavily on creating an application that easily adjusts to the users’ necessities while remaining as simplistic and scale-able as possible. The way to reach these audience’s needs and wants and to cater to possible extra customers’ needs will be to run surveys to additionally allow for users to request extra use and to gauge needs and wants on a measurable level. This entitles the idea of them being able to get the type of application that the audience would like to see in the future term. Sports R US are looking to create a website/app that will enlighten shoppers and any of our other audience to want to keep coming back to our site for more products so the design that we have come up with is a sporty looking website, something that gives you the feel of being out there in the field, we went with a dicks sporting goods type of setup.
