Description of the TypeFocus Assessments
From the results, I am an outgoing, talkative, and socially engaged person. Making friends and working in a group is a simple task for me. My extraversion nature makes me friendly, and I always like to be with friends and meet new people. Moreover, sensitiveness is a strong virtue in me where I am sensitive to what I do to others. Additionally, I am supportive and show empathy to those who are in need. This also makes me have soft feelings when interacting with others. I like prior planning, which allows me to be organized in my work. I believe in the traditional approach of planning things to avoid a last-minute rush. This organization trait allows me to approach things realistically and take into account all the essential matters.
Reflection
The extraversion trait indicated by the TypeFocus Assessments can positively impact my career in the corporate world. As a financial expert, I need to interact with most people in the industry to understand how various companies work. These interactions can only be initiated by sociable and likable people who can easily make friends. I believe this trait can also be helpful in my interaction with employers and colleagues. The corporate world requires a formidable team that is working together to push the company’s success forward. Teamwork is only built by people willing to work together by maximizing their strengths and lowering their weaknesses (Marquis 1). Therefore, I can easily fit into a group of fellow experts when analyzing various investment decisions. Since I can get along with new people quickly, this can help me to fit in new teams and work in any department.
Sensitiveness and supportiveness can also positively impact my career. Since I am sensitive when dealing with others, this trait can push me to treat people with respect and honor. By showing them respect, we can cooperate in solving various problems in the industry. Sensitiveness can also help me to maintain high standards of integrity in the industry. Success in the corporate world requires people to be honest and fair in all their dealings. Integrity can push me to comply with all laws hence acting reasonably to all. Moreover, treating people kindly can also earn me respect in a corporation. This can lead to promotions and rewards, which can further motivate me to work harder. In addition, supporting others can also strengthen the productivity of my department. Synergy in companies is important as it brings everybody on board to help a company. By working together, the company capitalizes on the strengths of each employee. Showing support to others can also help me in learning new ideas that can positively change my career.
Proper planning can also greatly impact my career. Planning entails creating a detailed analysis of how one will approach things in the future in a particular manner. Through planning, one recognizes all the risks facing a company and the opportunities available. Planning also leads to the proper utilization of resources without mismanagement (Woods 1). For instance, a plan details how funds will be directed in certain projects, thus eliminating any loopholes for misuse. Planning can allow me to initiate sound strategies of how the corporation will advance its investments in the future. This can also increase my chances of excelling in a company since planning is the best way of approaching the future.
Having organizational skills can also change my career in the financial sector. Companies thrive due to their organizational structures, which dictates the assignment of roles and management models. Organizational skills allow one to follow the traditional management method of prior planning towards the future. Since I am organized, I can help a company to restructure its investment approaches towards certain projects. Through my organizational skills, I can also transform the firm’s work models to ensure that employees achieve their best. In shareholders meetings, the organization skills can also help me to structure a detailed report of how shareholders’ capital is being used.
Being realistic is another trait that can transform my career. Realistic individuals approach issues with facts without using theories to complicate things. Realistic attitude is mostly needed in investments where people make pragmatic decisions. Besides, business deals require one to be practical to make profits. As an investment analyst, I can use my skills to analyze various ventures’ profitability before advising a company to activate any plans. Since I am realistic, I can approach all proposals realistically without being swayed by the management’s pressure or shareholders’ interests. This can help save the company’s funds by ensuring that they are invested in the right projects. Moreover, I can only seek out viable alliances that align with the company’s mission. This can help a company to advance its interests without making losses. If the company thrives under my direction, my career can also advance through promotions and recognition.
