Paula Wallace SCAD’s Heritage
Paula Wallace is the co-founder of the famous Savannah College of Arts, SCAD. She is also the longest-serving president of this college. The college was established over 40 years ago, where it had less than 100 students. It is an art and Design institution that offers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
Paula Wallace got her B. A degree from Furman University but later on attended Georgia state university, where she got her bachelor’s in Education Science and Masters in Education. During her time as the leader of academics at SCAD, she has created the very best opportunities and platforms for her students. She has established some of the best annual events such as TVfest, deFine ART, among others. These events bring out the best of what these students have and give them a chance to showcase their skills and interact with professionals.
The core value of Paula Wallace SCAD is coming up with an opportunity for them to study and work as professionals. She has also taken some of her students to parent with the creative executives from big companies that help conduct projects and run the campaigns for the companies they are partnering with.
Paula Wallace got the leadership award from the Interior Design Magazine. This is because she has been able to showcase her leadership skills to the world. Paula has brought success to this college so that everyone wants to be an alumnus of Savannah College of Arts and Design. Her vision was to create a platform that would give students a chance to study. This can be evident in the way she has run SCAD as president.
Paula Wallace has highly invested in preserving the old architecture and old buildings. She renovates them and makes them the best she can at SCAD.
