Calories are units of energy that are required by the human body. They are not harmful unless they are taken in significant quantities by a person who does not exercise. The effect they have is that they lead to increased body weight. They are contained in most of the drinks and foods that we take. When Hannah took the snacks and the increase in the number of calories in her body that was not adequately burned increased because she does not engage in any physical activities.
Therefore, it is right to say that even before she took the snacks, she was not on the right track with her low carb diet. The reason being the frozen French fries and carrot stick she took are rich in carbohydrates. With a low carb diet, it is essential to ignore all fried food, especially French fries, since they trigger the body to ask for more. Those probably were the reason she felt hungry and took the snacks.
Violation of her new low carb diet may expose her to several dangers which she maybe was trying to avoid like diabetes and weight gain. To address the violation, she should strictly follow her low carb diet without lapsing. The other option is to involve herself in physical activities, for example, any sport in her school. The other option she has is to ensure she does not use the public transportation to school. While walking to school, she will be able to burn the calories that she consumed. She should also stay away from refined carbohydrates that manufacturers add in their products since they are tempting, and the result will be the violation of her new low carb diet.
Hannah’s meal cannot also be described as a low carb diet. Most of the items she prepared are rich in fats and carbohydrates. Maybe she did not know carrot sticks were rich in carbohydrates since most of the vegetable sticks are low carb. Frozen French fries are another mistake she made with the meal. Despite being frozen, they are still fries, and they carry a large amount of fats. Therefore her meal was not a low carb diet. The last was a cola, which also is not a low carb diet. Therefore it is prudent to say that Hannah’s meal was not a low carb diet.
Hannah’s meal cannot be considered an energy diet. Considering the cheeseburger and frozen French fries are low in energy, the meal can be categorized as a low energy diet. Carrot sticks are useful since they supply the body with the necessary energy it requires, but on the other hand, cola gives one a rush of energy, which crashes after a short duration leaving one with the urge for more. That will be the main reason later at night when she was studying; she felt the urge to eat again.
Without the knowledge of the amount of food intake, Hannah took the approximate grams of fiber in the meal was 7.8 grams. The reason being cheeseburger contains 1-gram, frozen French fries have two grams per intake, carrot sticks have 2.8 grams, guacamole with 2 grams, and finally, cola has zero fiber.
