New Deal between Roosevelt and the people of America
The term New Deal was first used by President Franklin Roosevelt campaign speech of 1932 which required the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination. This paper is going to analyze the first New Deal in the administration of Franklin D. Roosevelt, the U.S president between 1933 and 1939. The deal had the following aims; immediate cushion or relief of the economy, creating reforms in agriculture, industry, waterpower, housing and also labour. The other objective of the deal was to increase and improve the scope of activities of the federal government. Roosevelt was overwhelmingly voted in after Herbert Hoover ineffective administration which had failed to redeem the U.S economy from the ravages of the Great Depression.
