Mike Tyson Is Accused Of Being ‘stoned off his cake’ During a UK morning Interview Where He Kept Falling Asleep And Slurring Words.
The former undisputed world champion appeared a little sleepy and weary in a morning interview with the UK’ Good Morning Britain’, a British morning TV show with hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid. Tyson was disconnected and hard to understand as he appeared to mumble his way through the interview.
This happened on 13 Oct, where Mike Tyson kept falling asleep and slurring words, which led fans to assume that the boxing legend was high and stoned.
Steering fans to sharing concerns on Twitter with one user writing, “What is going on with Mike Tyson? Tired, Punch Drunk or too much Charlie?”
Well, it wouldn’t be surprising for the champion to be stoned given that he has talked about how much marijuana he has done before and how much he likes to party.
As for the slurring words, Tyson might just be worn out and tired from working out and training in his 50s. The former heavyweight champion has put his body through a punishing training regime in order to lose 130 pounds ahead of an exhibition fight against his fellow boxing legend, Roy Jones Jr.
Mike has also been on an endless promotional tour following his anticipated return to the ring in the upcoming fight.
In just six weeks, 54-year-old Tyson is due to exchange blows with RJ Jr. in an event that could be the start of an exhibition explosion of older fighters.
Tyson said that his series of slurred answers were as a result of late-night exhaustion.
In a recent Tweet, Mike Tyson addressed claims of him looking weary and sleepy in the interview, issuing an apology addressed to the GMC TV show host, Piers Morgan.
He writes, “Hey mate … I tried to stay up late for interview but fell asleep and like a lion I’m hard to wake once asleep.”
“Training hard and going to bed early. I had no monitor so I couldn’t see you guys and forgot to look into camera,” added Tyson.
In response to Tyson’s tweet, Morgan wrote, “No problem, Champ.”
“We could see you were a bit weary! It was very late in LA. Appreciate this message as some viewers were concerned,” said Morgan.
