Since the company’s formation, the constant commitment towards positive societal transformations is a significant dictate to the day-to-day operational endeavors. The company has remained committed to engaging in initiatives with positive implications as far as promoting society’s well-being is concerned. First, the company’s daily activities are considerate of corporate social responsibility. Furthermore, customer-centrism is a significant consideration when dictating the day-to-day company operations. It is worth appreciating that the two concepts have acted as the company’s significant pillars leading to the continued success and ability to dominate the market.

The integration of internship programs by the company is a contested issue. I appreciate the need to involve the opinions of all stakeholders before coming up with the final decision. This will ensure that the final decision satisfies all stakeholders, hence reducing some of the workforces. There are both proponents and opponents when looking into the subject matter. Those opposed to the idea argue that the incorporation of internship programs might hinder functional efficiency because workers will be forced to guide them. Besides, they say that it is not apparent that the programs will benefit the students.

On the other hand, proponents of the idea adopt various arguments supporting their point of view. First, they argue that internship programs will lead to a win-win situation where both the student and the company will benefit. Besides, they say that the programs will enable the company to have a pool of talents from different students, improving our functional performance. They also argue that the programs are a source of human resources, enabling the company to save money that can be used to cater to other operational costs.

By weighing all the perceptions, I feel that internship programs are of benefit to the company. This is because the programs correlate with the company’s vision, value, and mission statements. As briefed earlier, the need for CSR is a significant dictate of the nature of operations taking place within the company. Internship programs will allow members of the surrounding society to grow their skills and knowledge, thus enhancing CSR. The second benefit is that the program will reduce the workload among the employees. Furthermore, the programs will lead to an increase in retention and productivity hence benefits the company.
