A casino is a public building whereby gaming and gambling take place while lottery is a form of gambling whereby gamblers pick a number, an outcome or a symbol and wins a price if your pick is chosen. In the United States of America, middle-class shrink due to stagnation of household income for a long period. This has forced over 47 million people in the United States to depend on foodstuffs. The median income in family households in the United States is 50,000 dollars (“How much do Americans earn? What are the average US income and other income figures. Fiscal cliff talks only useful in the context of incomes,” n.d.). Considering high living standards, expensive medical care, education and a high cost of products, middle-class families live in poverty. The low household income has made the lives of most families unaffordable hence making a living in the US difficult. Also, this has made many youths involve themselves in lottery and casino games so that they can earn their living. Most households have experienced less or no growth in income. Household growth has been experienced by top families in the US leaving middle class with relatively no real income growth.
In conclusion, many families involve themselves in a lottery and other kinds of games as a way of survival since their income is too little to sustain their families. Besides, many families prefer to try their luck in the lottery so that they can get more money that will be enough to take care of their families instead of practicing other illegal activities that may lead them to legal action. It is upon the government to standardize the household income in families so that they can raise the living standards of every citizen in the US.
