Artists in Small and Rural Municipalities in Canada
Quantitative data is used in the study. The study indicates the number of artists staying within a given locality—specifically, the artist from small municipalities in Canada. The report defines the rural city by the size of the population. Those with residents less than 50,000 are referred to as small municipalities. It also describes the people to be called artists, including; actors, musicians, singers, and many more. The study analyzes the small rural municipalities within Canada to determine the concentration of artists in these areas. It also defines artists’ attention in this area for a given time, says between 2001 and 2006.
Planning involves assessing the future’s nature and coming up with a set of goals that need to be achieved within a given timeline. Such information on data would be necessary for the organization to aid in planning and decision making (Gauzelin & Bentz, 2017). The organization has a background idea of what to expect and can plan with the available resources. For example, the municipality area contains less than 50,000 artists, making it easier for the organization to plan its activities for the artist as it already knows the existing number.
The information is useful in organizing the functions of the organization. The data helps give oversight of what resources or human resources are required in the organization. It will be necessary to allocate resources and coordinate its activities (Ahmady, Mehrpour &Nikooravesh, 2016). The number of people and resources earmarked for interviewing and resource to aid in the process will be known.
With the background data, it would be easier to influence the organization in a particular way. Leading involves bringing people to work together within an organization prioritizing its interests. As a leader, the information on the data is crucial. It forms the basis from where people decide if their part would be working with the organization or not working with the organization.
The data provides the standard measure for the organization to apply when using its data. The organization can compare its findings, check for deviations, and enforce corrective actions to lead the company to achieve its objectives. Therefore, the data is essential in ensuring the organization’s activities are run smoothly and effectively.
