I take managerial accounting, which is established as being a branch of accounting that entails identifying, measuring, analyzing, and interpreting accounting information with subject to assisting managers in making the necessary decisions with subject to the efficient management of the company’s operations. Prior to taking this course, being an unqualified managerial accountant, I had skills regarding the analysis of operational metrics and various events with subject to the translation of data in achieving useful information that could consequently be leveraged by the management of the company with subject to their decision-making process. My aim has always been the provision of detailed information with subject to the operations of the company through the analysis of every single line of product, facility, operating activity, among others (Maher et al., 2011).
Currently, through the study of this course, I have been able to gain additional skills with subject to planning and commercial decision making through the provision of appropriate financial information alongside the performance of related accounting administration. Being a management accountant, the managerial accounting course has considerably assisted me in gaining a computer and good maths skills. This course has been the basis of my analytical skills, critical thinking, time management, having an industrial knowledge in accounting, and improvement in my interpersonal communication (Crosson & Needles, 2010).
The first application of my managerial accounting skills is a team player based on the fact that collaboration would be the fundamental aspect subject to the improvement of management accounting skills. I would apply my skills with subject to my management accounting career in margin analysis, capital budgeting, constraint analysis, product costing, and inventory valuation, alongside the aspect of trend analysis and forecasting (Mowen et al., 2016).
