It is the act of grasp the nature, meaning or significance of something, for instance, comprehend what has happened.

Good and effective at persuading other people to believe something or an argument through the application of reasoning or the use of temptation, i.e. if she is not willing to go, nothing you will do or say to persuade her to change her mind.
Anyone or anything which has the power and ability to convince and change the people or actions of other people, e.I the argument which the speaker raised was too persuasive.
