Jan Koum is the founder of WhatsApp.He was born in 1976 in a small village in Ukraine. Brought up in poverty, Koums family relocated to California, where he enrolled in a computer class during his leisure time. One of his memorable charitable moments was in 2014 when he donated almost $556 million to support the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. Also, from 2014 to 2016, he donated 41.5 million to support the FreeBSD Foundation.
Also, the Koum family foundation has increased its Jewish communal charitable and Israel linked groups.His charitable foundation also donated in 2018 to Stanford University.
