Both articles have given data from the t. however, the articles are different in the way they appeal to their audience. The Washington times advocate for Joseph Biden more than Trump compared to the Washington Post, which compared the information of both parties. The Washington Post wants their audience to sympathize and be compassionate to Joe Biden while trying anger Trumps by comparing the type of campaign the two candidates hold. “Biden runs a low-cost campaign while the President has burned through cash. Both articles have mentioned the difference in the total amount of money and the nature of the campaign that both parties hold. However, the Washington Times is biased towards Joe Biden.
Part Two
This article falls into the evaluation phase of the policy-making process. The Evaluation phase analyzes the performance of a policy after its implementation. This article highlights how the United States Congress formulated Act to caution the citizen against the economic burdens of Covid-19 and inefficiencies of their policies (Polumbo). It highlights the inefficiencies in the CARES Act’s implementation in helping the low and income population cope with the impacts of Covid-19. The United States Congress, comprised of the senate and house representatives, are formal actors in the country’s politics. They are the legislative arm of the federal government of the United States that are selected through direct election by the citizens.
This article falls into the agenda-setting phase in the policy-making process. This phase identifies a problem that requires the attention of the government. The article describes the challenges within the police department of the United States. It shows how the police department can cause rivalry between the department and the citizens (Ford). Law Enforcement agencies are indirect political actors; they constitute the criminal justice system of the United States. The federal Police duty has been outlined in the United States Code.
