Food Bill Ate Yesterday that Can Contribute to His Blood Pressure
High blood pressure can be caused by a various number of foods such as processed foods such as bacon, salted snacks, canned foods, fatty meats, butter and margarine (Savica, Bellinghieri & Kopple, 2016). This foods have high levels of sodium and can make the pressure in the arteries to rise above normal. From the foods that Bill ate yesterday, some can contribute to increased blood pressure. These foods include two jelly doughnuts, cookies, two fast-foods tacos with tortilla chips, boxed macaroni, pizza, cereal and milk and lastly potato chips.
Analyzed Meal
The analyzed meal is the lunch which either comprised of two fast-food tacos with tortilla chips and salsa. These foods contain both macro and micronutrients that contributes to high blood pressure. Fast food tacos contain a high level of fats which contribute to high blood pressure. They also have sodium quantity of more than 2000mg, which exceeds the recommended teaspoon. This meal, therefore, proves dangerous for Bill since it can cause his blood pressure to go up. He should, therefore, avoid such a meal in order to live a healthy life.
Health Risk Facing Bill
Many health risks come with high blood pressure in the body which Bill is likely to encounter. These risks include heart attack or stroke due to hardening and thickening of artery walls, heart failure since the increased pressure causes the heart to work extra harder and lastly weakening and narrowing blood vessels in the kidneys preventing the organs from functioning routinely (Savica, Bellinghieri & Kopple, 2016). These are some of the risks which will occur if Bill does not takes the necessary steps to change his diet.
