Therefore, it makes it easy to get the patient data used to ensure no error or confusion on the patient information. The information technology is also designed in a way that it allows safe use through its interoperability and its usability. It provides good user interface design and good workflow and user-friendly data interfaces, which improve patient safety and clinical decision making. It also allows easy exchange of laboratory data hence allowing good standards of observation for the data. The health information system allows communication among different healthcare personnel to ensure that patient safety concerns are adhered to.
