Gregg Blatt
Gregg Blatt is an outstanding leader and a technocrat who has held several top-ranking positions at different organizations. He was born and raised in Massachusetts by both his parents. He holds a degree in English, Literature from the Colgate University class of 1990.
Immediately after Colgate University, Blatt decided to take some time off and tour some of the world’s most incredible places for adventure. He used the little savings he had while still doing some odd jobs to get some coins for his upkeep. He encounters some of the fascinating moments during the tour, like residing in a tent in Telluride.
After his world tour, Gregg Blatt joined Columbia University to pursue a law career, his long-term passion. Being in law school transformed him a lot, to the extent of making him a critical thinker. By his graduation, he was already a professional teacher of the law.
Blatt joined the corporate law industry as a highly-skilled lawyer based in New York. A few years later, he moved to the entertainment law and was allowed to work for Martha Stewarts’ company at General Counsel’s position. His exemplary performance made him the executive vice president of the company within a short period.
After a four-year service for Martha Stewarts’ company, Blatt was recommended to work for his colleague’s IAC company. Here he was made the General Counsel of the company, a similar position to his previous company, but a greater task from the high number of subsidiary companies involved.
From his exemplary performance at IAC, Barry Driller, the organization’s CEO, became attracted to him that he got him involved in the companys strategic and operational decisions. Later, he assigned him with the role of a CEO at the companys subsidiary company Match.com which was going through harsh situations.
Blatt utilized his problem-solving knowledge and leadership skills at Match.com, and within a short time, the company boomed back to profit-making. This got him promoted to the executive vice president and General Counsel for the company, a role he undertook for five years.
