 Film Moonlight

Introduction.

The ecological model depends on the adaptive and evolutionary view of human beings in their interactions and adaptations with the environment surrounding them. In ensuring that it is goodness-of-fit, some individuals interact actively with the ground, which will create a niche. This niche will allow one to fit into the new environment and helps an individual to attain the level of homeostasis. Niche also allows one to survive when the environment or the person is changed, and niche will accommodate all the changes in all other parts.

The bio-psychosocial model is responsible for the expansion of the ecological theory, which views the disease as the interplay between the social factors, behavioural, physical, environmental and psychological factors. According to Bracht, he concluded the following using the bio-psychosocial model to explain the role of social work with health care.

  1. Economic, social and cultural conditions have some impact on illness prevention and health status.
  2. Health-related behaviour affects the family or personal equilibrium and their coping abilities, among others.

The system theory describes the organization and demonstrations of complex interactions by the systems using a theoretical base. These concept models are used in defining boundaries and during maintenance between synergy, systems, environment, homeostasis, and interdependence. The concept of mezzo (family), macro (community), and micro (individual) level interaction is used by the public health professionals to assess on how diseases affect the individual and the interrelated systems.

The system theory is combined with ecological theory to focus on individual’s situations and its effects on the illness on the environment and on the system. In his suggestion, he says that the crucial assessment occurs in the transaction or at the interface between individuals, the systems they depend on themselves and their environment. Changes and adaptation to illness impacts all the systems within the individual, family, surrounding environment, and the community.

Strengths and weakness of the ecosystem theory.

The greatest strength in ecology is how it deals with living things by using the use of natural surrounding than the use of artificial isolation. There is a branch of biology responsible for this which concentrates on some aspects of organisms, and this can lead to loss of truth in interrelationships and connections which are important in explaining life in its totality.  Ecology focuses on the ground of explaining how an organism develops and operates, which brings together different disciplines. The ecological theory is also important since it has shown that the anatomy, systematic, biochemistry, and molecular biology have become fully focused on using analysis of ecosystems. This theory has highlighted the importance of having individual differences that are seen in child development. This has played critical roles in how people view and assist barriers experienced by children during their learning process.

On the other hand, this theory helps in showing growth from reductionists to holistic, and the influence of the environment on individuals are seen in this theory. This will enable psychologists to look on the forces behind acting children. This theory also has emphasized the phrase that sharing is caring (Pardeck, 1988).

One possible weakness in this theory is the origin of it from a wider spectrum which tends to diffuse. The theory focuses on the physical environment and the aspects of the environment. This makes the starters to find this as a daunting or hard on its own breadth.

Relationship between the ecosystem approach model and the Moonlight.

Some theorists like Vivian Sobchack says that Moonlight draws its ideas from humanism and its treatment is experimental, and this film theory speaks to some of the people that have never lived this story. In the video of Sobolak, the Moonlight, he figures out on sounds and images that create a human that isn’t in use, but they are created in us. This means when we make something in our minds, natural gaps are filled in our minds by the films, and we then start to understand it at some level.

Currently, films have a strong impact on the social problems facing us, and a film allows us to imagine some things, evoking our thoughts and displaying hardships that are around us. Films bring life problems that we face in reality to light. The main actor in the Moonlight, Chiron Barry, goes through many challenges and difficulties with his sexual identity and socioeconomic status. This film brings out an honest view of how it is like to grow up as a minority and many of the struggles that people face when people are trying to figure out who they are. The movies show uses of different narrative and visual cues to show how hard it was for Chiron by breaking down the film into three development acts: little. Chiron and black.

When Child reached adulthood, he didn’t fully accept his sexuality since he was troubled by the environment which he was brought up from including the people who were around him that pressured him to become someone that he was t and this discouraged him from realizing his true self. He was troubled from figuring out his own sexuality since he lacked a stable support system. The people that were around him included his mother who contributed to his struggles and this frustrated him to becoming cold and closed off. He was also troubled by the bullies in school who regularly hurt him by physically assaulting him and calling him homophobic names.

Watching his broken relationship with his mother was equally painful and equally complicated. His mother was inconsiderate and unavailable when Chiron was young, and this gives the audience a view of neglect and rejection (Jenkins, 2017). We learn from her mother that Chiron’s father figure and the drug dealer knew the reason why others were bullying Chiron in the school. His mother, after learning that his son was homosexual; it didn’t bother her talk to his song about the problems that he was facing.

There is no place where Chiron finds his sexuality in the film, and he never talked about this with anyone, and he kept his feelings away from everyone. This left him alone, struggling with his own issues (Demory, 2019). This was because of the reality of the community on the view of being a man and how the community disregards homosexuality. He faced an excessive amount of bullies during all the stages in this film. He was the only child in the community to be called faggot, which he didn’t know what that word meant. This prompted his internal self and external persona to interact, making his own identity to be shaped by the community while growing up. This makes the audience understand how the environment that someone is brought in affects someone.

Summary of the theory.

This theory explains the problems that human being faces that are derived from the physical forces, political, psychological, and social forces. This represents transitional events from the relationship between the human condition and environmental conditions. This will allow the practitioners to treat the problems effectively.  For the past few years, there have been shifts in understanding human nature (Sims, et, 1972).

The ecosystem approach resolves the issues resolving from the ecosystem issues, and it uses the scientific reason where they protect and manage the environment. This biological diversity nourishes and sustains the ecological space. The ecological systems understand the human behaviours in transactional connectors that are real.  Human societies and human have a larger ecological field which can be scientifically understood. The behavioural setting is dependent on the social work practice by the use of basic unit analysis.  The behavioural setting is key in the community than even the conceptualization of behaviour. It has a relationship with people, time, individual behaviour and physical setting.

An individual has more than one ecology, which has a relationship with a conglomeration of these other ecologies (Hearn & Pace, 2006). This is composed of numerous other overlapping systems that include the community, family, and the workplace inter-twined with other sub-systems which is unique to each individual.
