Equity in education.

The last decades have been characterized by the growing attention of equity in education. More emphasis has been put to the education system to make sure all people, despite their race, gender or background have yielded substantial potential. However many young people are in many states are falling short on acquiring the necessary basic skills in education. I decided to interview three individuals to explore peoples understanding of how the impressive growth of knowledge in the world has contributed to the policy of equity in education. Then in my conclusion, I will give a summary and thoughtful reaction to all responses from the said interviewees

The first person argued that investment in education is of great significance in the education system as it calls for equal treatment of all individuals. He explained that education system fairness is essential as it helps in identifying and sourcing a systematic help to the marginalized in the society and also help foster new talents that could have been left out unutilized. Moreover, he said that equity helps to unite all diversities giving priority to all individuals in all regions with more significant needs.

The second one claimed that even though there is to have equity in education, the girls are not to be given equal opportunities as with the boys. He claimed that this would help to bring down the boys down as they are the ones who are supposed to garner sufficient knowledge in all sectors as they will, in turn, use it to grow the ladies. Furthermore, he went on to say that giving girl’s equal opportunities with boys will create pride among ladies and in turn make them despise boys.

The response I got from the third was that we all should ensure that a primary elementary standard education is given to all individuals. He claimed inclusive education is essential because without necessary skills one is not able to participate socially in the building of social welfare. He went on to state that we should all come together and support learning to the disadvantaged individuals to maximize their efforts and foster a pleasant environment for all.

I choose to use a descriptive model to source out all the variables in education equity basing it on the responses of the three interviewees. I agreed with the first and third interviewee on their approaches of fairness and inclusion for all. However, I contrasted with the second one as his argument seemed to base on the unfairness of the girl child but the addition of all. I will also suggest that some policies should be put in place to help achieve education equity for a better tomorrow. I at this moment use the responses to say that equity in education is offering education to all individuals in a fair way and ensuring that everyone yields all the necessary skills.
