CRISIL’s communication plan is integral in ensuring that they meet all their needed objectives and goals in achieving the success of their communication programs. The overall evaluation planning process will be carried out every quarter to document progressive success in achieving their strategic goals and objectives. It will also be used in the assessment of its impact on its employees and stakeholders that are associated with the organization. The evaluation plan will ensure the communication plan implemented by CRISIL will be systematically monitored and assess the necessary progressive measures that will ensure the implementation of the strategies and tactics are correctly done. It will also provide the necessary assessment of the input placed by all relevant players within the communication plan and their roles in ensuring that the achievements of its goals are met.
The evaluation plan will provide the necessary objective formative and summative reports every quarter. It will be done through monitoring, audits, and the development of quarterly-annual reports and report the finding within two months of the close of each period. It will enable all the necessary target audiences (current employees, prospective employees, and stakeholders) to get the necessary opportunity to assess the achieved objective goals and strategies and make any necessary recommendations that may be necessary for CRISIL’s communication plan. It will also enable the CRISIL communication plan to make the necessary modification and adjustment actions through the necessary consultation.
CRISIL’s communication evaluation plan will include both a formative approach, as well as a summative one. The formative approach will revolve around the process of the implementation of strategies and tactics in achieving the organization’s communication plan goals. The summative approach will emphasize the communication plan’s impact on its target audience. Utilizing a formative approach will ensure that the overall communication plan strategies and tactics will be geared towards achieving their objectives. It will also ensure that these tactics are following the target audiences will provide the necessary information that will help them stay ‘on track’ when implementing this particular action plan. Some of the main formative evaluation questions that will be asked in the overall communication plan will include the following: (a) Are both the current and prospective employees gaining access to all the information through the various communication structures and channels utilized in the company? (b) Is HR providing the necessary training and development sessions that will improve the performance appraisals for current employees? (c) Is the organization’s visibility on all online platforms clear ad accessible to all stakeholders associated with the organization? All these approaches will ensure that all the necessary target audiences are involved in achieving the implemented communication plan’s goals and objectives.
The summative evaluation methods will entail assessing the communication plan by CRISIL and addressing any changes that might occur during implementation. These changes might be brought about by the changes in employee and stakeholder perspectives and behavior when implementing the communication plan. Some of the main summative evaluation queries that might be used will include the following: (a) is the communication plan achieving its various goals and objectives through its strategies and tactics? (b) What is the impact of the communication plan on attracting new employees to the organization, as well as their behavior when assimilated within CRISIL?
The summative approach is essential in assessing the impact the communication plan has on its target audience after implementation. It will assess the employee performance and achievement and the behavioral factors and attitudes associated with it. It will also provide a projection of the communication plans strategy implementation, ensure that its success is long-term, and all the necessary changes and recommendations are made to ensure its success.
