The Seven Years War took part between 1756 and 1763, and it was a large conflict between the British and the French. It was a result of a quest for supremacy, and it involved commercial rivalry. It led to the involvement of Great Britain and its allies and the French allies. The final result was that Great Britain overwhelmed the French and their allies (Foner, E. 2013).
The French and Indian wars took nine years and involved the French and British. It was dubbed as the American phase, and it was aimed at determining the control of North America. The European phase took part from 1756 to 1763 (Foner, E. 2013). It was a result of the conquest of the Ohio valley river.
The Royal proclamation was issued in 1763 by King George the third, and it outlined the governance of territories surrendered by France to the British. The policies laid out finally failed, which led to the invention of the Quebec act of 1774. The sugar act, also referred to as the plantation act of 1764, was aimed to eradicate the smuggling trade of molasses and sugar. It was also aimed at increasing the revenues to fund the British empire.
The stamp act of 1765 was aimed at imposing a tax on the colonists instead of levying duty on trade goods.
