All ages are vulnerable to colorectal cancer. Can cancer be found in both women and men? Many evidence shows that the type of cancer is associated with a significant cause of non-skin cancer death globally. According to researches, the doctors are not very sure about the cause of colorectal cancer (Siegel et al., 2020). However, the doctors have explanations on its history, which many attribute to the grounds. Colon cancer commences in healthy cells and develops mutations in the cell’s DNA. The DNA has an essential function to instruct the cells on their various functionality. In many cases, the healthy cells divide orderly and ensure cells function effectively as anticipated. However, wherever the cell’s DNA has damage, then it becomes cancerous. The cells proceed with divisions unnecessarily, and they develop forming a tumor are the cancerous cells grow; they destroy the neighboring tissues. Consequently, as a result of metastasis, they travel to all parts of the body, forming deposits.
Colorectal cancer poses serious health problems. According to pathology manifestation, it can form many forms.it includes: heredity, family, and most common sporadic. The types having inheritance the tumors develop in definite stages. They range from adenomatous lesions to malignant tumors. Environmental and heredity factors are a significant cause of colorectal cancer.
There are various signs and symptoms associated with colorectal disorder (Ciardiello et al., 2019). One is a change in bowel habits; an example is a constipation, diarrhea, and the stool’s narrowing, which prolongs to a few days. Another symptom is rectal bleeding, which is accompanied by bright red blood. Sometimes blood is detected in the stool, which darkens the stool, though it often appears normal. The third common symptom is feeling exhausted and feeling weak. Consequently, the colorectal disorder might be characterized by unintended weight loss and the cramping of the abdominal pain. It may also show some signs of failure to have a bowel movement, which may not be relieved by movements.
