Boundaries Boundaries are essential in mapping since it enables governing bodies to determine how specific populations change over time. Tracking and monitoring population segments are necessary for budget allocation for cities and counties. It is also a determinant for the development of roads and infrastructure and the enforcement of policies within an area. Boundaries in the United States are mainly drawn after census when it is ascertained that a population within the same locality share the same aspects in life. Diversification is among the traits that determine the segmentation of a population, especially in a state such as California, where the amount of race diversification is significant. Boundaries are also defined by rivers, mountains, forests, urbanization, and profiles of major highways. According to statistics in the World Population Review (2020), California is the top state with the highest diverse population in the United States. Gary Ridgeway Gary Ridgeway, son of Mary and Thomas Ridgeway, was born on February 18, 1949, in Salt City, Utah (Tikkanen, 2020). His childhood was troubled in that he witnessed multiple scenarios of domestic violence between his parents. The mother was domineering while the father was a bus driver who was agitated by the existence of harlots. Ridgeway experienced a bedwetting problem until his early adolescence years and is mother washed his genitalia after every episode. If you don’t want to get hurt, don’t challenge me,” uses a sincere and elaborate, although at times harsh and strict tone to respond to the criticism that has always been heaped on the police and their policing methods. Dutta maintains that citizens who encounter with police can easily prevent brutality by cooperating even under circumstances when they feel their rights are being violated. In this piece, the author, at times sound harsh and strict in presenting his facts, although, his argument is very sensitive and helps both the public and cops’ safety. The Three Army Surgeons  Summary of the story The story is about three army surgeons who traversed around the world and were convinced that they had learned all that they needed to know about their profession. They got into an Inn where they wanted to spend a night. To demonstrate their level of professionalism and expertise, they decided to remove parts of their bodies and to return them the following day. One surgeon removed the right hand, another removed eyes while the other revolved his heart. The maid at the inn had a secret lover who was also a soldier. The soldier cam in the night and was served some meal. After being served, the maid forgot to close the cupboard where the plate containing the parts was placed. A cat sneaked and took the body parts. Out of despair, the soldier decided to replace the parts by chopping the right hand of a thief roaming in the gallows that night, a pig’s heart, and the cat’s eyes. Education and Technology Langford, Sara J., Nicholas Von Glahn, and Anjana Narayan. “Entitled to Tech: Applying the Concept of Educational Entitlement to Personal Digital Devices.” Journal on Excellence in College Teaching 30.3 (2019): 23-49. In this peer-reviewed study, Langford and his colleagues explore the views of over 500 students concerning how their education is influenced by technology. The authors state that they have decided to deviate from the line of research that has been done by the majority of studies, which have only examined the opinions of educators regarding technology. This study specifically investigates the students to ascertain whether they feel like they are entitled to apply their technology in the classroom. The study showed that nearly every student has a personal device, most of whom use theirs in class for purposes both related and unrelated to their courses.
