Prophet Muhammad After the rule of Prophet Muhammad, Islam underwent a socio-political evolution that led to what it has become today. Caliphs were the first leaders who took over the prophet’s roles as a leader in the community. However, as time passed, people’s confidence in caliphates significantly declined and they relied on other Islamic principles for ethics. Islamic laws borrow fundamental aspects of morality from the Quran and the hadiths. These two provide guidelines upon which morality in modern Islam is practiced. This paper is a discussion of why the caliphates descended and why the hadith and Sharia rose to become the moral references of many Muslims in modern times. The prophet is believed to be the first true ruler of all Muslims because he was a direct messenger of Allah. Upon his death, Muhammad did not leave behind any instructions about the leadership of the Umma (Denny, 2010). Majority Muslims voted that a caliph be appointed to play the part which the prophet had been playing. The caliph Abu Bakr, was selected because he had the closest relationship with…
Reflection of Concepts Learned Dance can be described as the expression that moves rhythmically to music. It is also defined as the vehicle that has the power of uniting the mind, body, and soul. Dance is further explained as a nonverbal means of communication in a universal language that allows expression of abstract idea and emotion through emission of an energy that can be felt or recognized by the affected observer (O’Cadiz 2). On most occasions, dance is viewed to have the power of transcending boundaries of culture, and speaks to people on a deep spiritual levels. To understand dance better, it is important to also understand culture since both resonate together. In this regard, culture can be described as the customs, ideas, and social behavior associated to a particular group of people or a given society. Considering the different cultures of the world, the purposes and methods of dance strengthen the idea of unity among the human being despite the differences and diversities in culture. One of the most important concepts I learned in this class is the as…
LIBERALISM IN SOUTH AFRICA South Africa liberalism exhibits the complexities and nuances of traditional, classical, and new liberalism but does so within the context of an ethnically and racially divided society (Hughes 1994,15). Liberalism in SA has therefore for a long time focused on racial peace providing equal opportunities and consultation for all. The question of race was foremost in giving content to where one stood on the political spectrum of SA. Even though they catered for the aspect of the race, the neoliberal policies in place benefit only the elite and particularly whites which shifted liberalism to promote the idea that even though blacks were historically inferior, they deserved equal opportunities when educated. Secondly, it’s purposed to convince people that individual freedom which includes freedom of thought, conscience, expression, and movement should be the apex political goal. Also, their liberalism promoted the gradual and incremental change in their political system with a nonviolent approach. Liberals such as Kane-Bearman argue that the government should not try to reshape man rather let him though imperfect, be free and pursue their self-interests…
Nemesis in Eight men out Many people would do anything to get money. Eight men out film show how eight professionally trained baseball players wanted to forego their careers to gain more money by participating in a fix to ensure that they lose in the game. It’s a story that has characters who depict nemesis. Nemesis is defined as a long-standing rivalry or enemy. The first character, Charles Comiskey who was the owner of the team depicted nemesis towards Eddie Cicotte who was a pitcher and a star on this baseball team. Charles Comiskey had promised to reward Eddie Cicotte with ten thousand dollars if he helped the team to win. Besides, Charles Comiskey depicted nemesis to Cicotte as when he was almost winning thirty games for…
Shopping methods Shopping methods have changed, with various changes being implemented in the market. Data and algorithms that have been collected from various social media platforms and websites have proven that social media and websites have turned out to be significant tools used by retailers for marketing to their consumers. Some of the applications used include Facebook and WeChat and they have been said to provide users with direct forms of purchasing as well as make buying simple with a press of a button. Technology has also played a part in the improved methods of shopping with automation technologies such as the Samsung Family Hub 2.0 refrigerator which is modified to notify the user and allow them to replenish their products before they are completely consummated. Other technologies like Virtual Reality and Augmented reality have continuously been used to convince mainstream consumers on venturing down to the purchase funnel (Www.fibre2fashion.com. 2013). As a result, consumers can now shop more conveniently while retailers continue to face stiffer competition as they try to reach their prospective consumers. Consumers no longer have to…

Offenders off the prisons When the situation for the offenders who are off the prisons is unbearable in society some tend to withdraw from the communities they formerly belong and settle in new places though they are still strained since they usually feel guilty before anyone regardless of whether they know them or not. This leads to them isolating themselves from the other members of the society who they could have sought help from, and by doing this they risk developing psychological and/or emotional stress which in turn might deteriorate their health
Globalization Globalization being the spread of jobs, products, information, and technology beyond national borders, it is responsible for inequality rise and decreased wages in some specific sectors of industrialization. Multicultural societies are in existence due to an increase in international migration, business competition is also on the rise. Despite the development of the economy through globalization, a few arguments have been recorded on the negative impacts of globalization, it affects the undeveloped countries by relying on the developed countries to make decisions for them with no power or freedom to argue back or deny to whatever instructions they are given (Khan, 2018). Government accountability and corruption is my topic of choice, with discrimination being the common ethical issue. On the sharing of the resources from the developed countries, they have always considered those nations that they get favors from which in most cases is also a developed country, ignoring the undeveloped countries. The decision has made the poor nations to be more poor and developed nations to continue developing (Centeno & Newman, 2010). The international exchange of goods and services…
