Cosmic Design There are many explanations regarding the creation and existence of the universe and all the features it holds. Various scientists have proved that nature exists in the form of carefully arrived calculations. Paul Davies in his book Cosmic Jackpot, talks about the Cosmic Code, and the efforts individuals have made throughout research to find the answers to the shadow details and to manifest the deeper hidden reality of the universe. The paper seeks to establish arguable discoveries of a designer or design behind the existence of the universe and all particulars in it. William Paley in his book Natural Theology: or evidences to the existence and attributes of the Deity, talks about the existence of nature’s features that exhibit the evidence of some form of design in the universe. In his discovery writings, he compares the universe to human made machines, equipment and devices. He elaborates that nature’s living and non-living things work like a machine that was made by a designer. Paley relates God to a watchmaker, who assembles different watch pieces for the watch to be…
Financial Intelligence Correct Revenue Recognition Policy The correct Revenue recognition policy infers to the principle that identifies the specific terms in which revenue can be recognized and accounted for. In most cases, income is recognized when a serious event happens in a firm, and the expenditure is easily measurable to the organization. The policy requires that revenues are supposed to be recognized when income is generated and realized, and not when money is received. Revenue being realized means that the customers should receive services and goods, but compensation for the services and products should be expected in the future. On the other hand, earned revenues only account for the services that have been provided by the company. Therefore, for the policy to be correct, the activities used to generate revenue must be fully complete so that it can be recognized in the revenue. Moreover, a rational level of inevitability that is used to earn the revenue should be present. Furthermore, the revenue should be recorded in the same accounting period. For instance, revenue accounting is forthright when an item is…

Controversial Art; The Holy Virgin Mary by Chris Ofili The controversial art that I have chosen is the holy Virgin Mary. The art was created in 1996 by Chris Ofili. It is an acrylic painting whose medium is oil paint, glitter, polyester resin, and map pins and elephant dung on linen. The art is one of the most controversial artists of the 20th century and caused heated debate and critics. The art depicts the Virgin Mary staring directly at the viewer with widely opened eyes and parted lips. She wears a blue gown that flows from her neck downwards, splitting at her check to reveal the cow dung that represents her breasts. The image is surrounded by collaged images of women’s buttocks. The two balls of dung representing the breasts are decorated in glitters. Also, the image of the Virgin Mary was from African American origin. The art was controversial because, in the catholic religion, Mary was a virgin even when she bore Jesus Christ. The painting questioned this belief because by surrounding the Virgin Mary with pornographic images of…

It is critical to make sure that there is a perfect mechanism in content delivery, which is a crucial part of how the occupational therapist will understand what they are being taught. It is because every student has a preference for the learning style they would prefer, especially for online learning. Positive Outcome of Conflict This essay discusses the positive outcomes of conflict and the appropriate conflict negotiation process to provide positive results from conflict. Conflict is often viewed as a source of setbacks in the workplace, and it is usually stated that if conflicts are managed correctly, they can provide a positive impact on productivity and bring beneficial results to the organization (Huan & Yazdanifard, 2012). Similar to any work environment, conflict is inevitable in the healthcare workplace environment. However, some of the conflicts experienced in my workplace have provided benefits for my organization in the long run. An example of a conflict that brought a positive impact on my organization was regarding shift woes. While it is true that no two nurses that work the same way, there was conflict arising from nurses at different shifts due to dissatisfaction and disagreement between the two shifts of nurses in my organization. This led to conflict between the two shifts, which after some discussion, some standard ways of carrying out specific tasks which each team was dissatisfied with were addressed. In…
Conflict styles Conflict can be defined as the disagreement that occurs between two parties and their reaction to the friction. In general, there are five types of conflict exposed to people with different reactions regarding personalities or even experiences. They include competing, accomodating, avoiding, collaborating, and compromising styles. The competing conflict style occurs when an individual involved in a disagreement dictates other people. In this style, one party tends to take authority over others. There should be an establishment of an authority among the involved parties to solve the conflict. The advantage of it is that it cultivates confidence for the winning party in a competitive environment. However, the disadvantage is that the losing party may develop a grudge and result in other conflicts. Accommodating conflict style occurs when an individual acts in a non-assertive way. A person is expected to do what another person wants when a conflict arises. The advantage with this style is that the conflict can be solved quickly, and the accommodating party feels to have contributed goodwill toward short term goals. The disadvantage is that…
