According to Vonk (2016), animal intelligence is determined by both the species and environmental factors surrounding them. The immediate surrounding governs how they communicate and react towards different things. Although animal intelligence is hardly as defined as in humans, it plays a fundamental role in understanding the behavior of different species on earth. Most animals have no defined means of communication, however, they may use sound or different signs to communicate to one another. For different species, the code of communication is often dissimilar. For instance, wolves usually howl when communicating to members of their pack at a long distance. Depending on the pitch of the sound produced in this case, pack members will understand the intention of the howl, in which it might indicate danger, source of food, or weather changes. Another commonly communicating species are the chickens. In the morning, the cork crows to alert both chicken and human beings of dawn. Mother hens will also produce unique sounds to alert the chicks of existing danger, especially cases of invasion by eagles. Cognition among them is clearly observed…
Why I want to Join The program It has also been my dream for the East African community to become one state. We are a people who share a lot in common, starting from a common language of Swahili and some countries even sharing the same cultures. Being a Kenyan, pursuing this master’s program in Information Technology at the University of Dodoma will allow me to see how my brothers and sisters in Tanzania use technology to convey information. I have always been told Tanzanians have zero tolerance for tribalism compared to my country, despite them having numerous tribes than my country. Studying in their university will give me a glimpse of how they treat each other equally, and of course, with that experience, I will have to implement it in Kenya. What I Do Currently, I’m a part-time communication and information tutor at Kenya Coast National Polytechnic. Being in a position of influence as teacher.I believe pursuing this masters degree program will give me more knowledge in my field and also be able to pass the knowledge of how…
CHAPTER ONE: TOPIC AND RESEARCH QUESTION 1.0 Introduction to the research question Implicit bias refers to human beings’ unconscious actions while preferring to different perspectives or towards other people. For instance, implicit bias is a lack of showing neutral preference but judging others without knowing. Different people have different attitudes about others, even without knowing them, due to their physical appearance, gender, and even race (Welpinghus, 2020). In the research proposal, we will consider the associate stereotypes men have towards women from different perspectives, such as wisdom and decision-making. The research will consider various aspects of life and how man is deemed superior to women in the natural world. Men’s consideration to be ideal to women worldwide is too much emphasized, which may be due to tradition. However, there is some truth about is it is seen in different issues through the interaction of both genders. The research will focus on finding the percentage of males with implicit gender bias in different situations. This will be helpful as it will help females to grow their curiosity about becoming better and…
CHAPTER 3: METHODOLOGY Most psychological research methods can be obtained from surveying by enquiring information from those involved or referring to the archived data from different sources. In the research proposed, men are the targeted subject to test their implicit bias towards women. The research methodology chosen for the analysis was based on considering certain factors from identifying the problem, reviewing associated literature, hypothesis, aims, and research objectives (Hahn, & Gawronski, 2019). Since the research aims to find the percentage of biased adult men towards women, it was crucial to guide the correct method to collect preferred data that can be evaluated to give the desired results. The information provided by the review acted as the guideline toward the technique of data analysis required for the best products to be obtained. 1.0 Background Reflexivity Over the last two decades, the percentage of implicitly biased men towards women tends to have decreased. However, according to the previous five years, the rate is still high, and around 90% of the men worldwide are gender-biased. Such bias has become the norm in society,…
2.0 European investors in London 2.1 Introduction Foreign Direct Investment is a concept that has attracted the attention of most economists. It has been held among most scholars that London offers an attractive climate for business operation and foreign investments. This section of the research paper will attempt to critically analyze the European countries’ investment concept into London’s commercial property. The section will draw most arguments from different literature, performing critical analysis, and then forms a conclusion. Moreover, the paper will also highlight the research limitations from the existing literature. 2.2 The Concept of International Investment Sotelo and McGreal (2016) define international investment as the movement of goods and assets from one particular country to another, intending to acquire more profits. Such activities have been witnessed since the conception of trade and international migrations. Rogers and Koh (2017) state that foreign direct investment is one of the economic variables contributing to rapid population growth. Accordingly, the authors argue that commercial property is one area that has attracted much investment from different investors worldwide. However, the investors’ choice to choose a…
The role of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation in Equine rehabilitation Introduction Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) is a form of therapy used to treat pain using low current voltage. The small voltage current can be administered near or at the nerves. A small device is used to help the present, usually through the skin. A TENS unit consists of a battery-powered device, and it is used to deliver electrical impulses through electrodes. The electrodes should be placed on the skin surface where the pain is being felt. They can also be paced at trigger points because sometimes in the body, pain is triggered at a specific location and thought in a different place. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation is applied in both humans and animals. There are two main ways in which it works. One theory states that the electric current activates the nerve cells that are responsible for sensing pain. They are then unable to transport pain signals to the brain. This automatically modifies the perception of pain by the person or animal. The second theory states that…

Postpartum Depression Postpartum depression (PPD) affects a large percentage of women after childbearing. It is a mental disorder that may be disabling and has is complications, but it is treatable. The American Psychiatric Association has included Postpartum depression in their list of mental disorders manual popularly known as the DSM-5. It is categorized as a major episode if the symptoms happen during pregnancy or between the first four weeks after giving birth. Nevertheless, if the depression occurs four weeks after giving birth, it is not categorized as a major depression though it may still be harmful and should be treated. Diagnostic criteria According to Stewart & Vigod (2016), there is still a significant controversy on the ideal method of detecting or screening for postpartum depression. However, undertaking a sensitive inquiry on mood swings and stability during postpartum clinical visits is helpful in identifying the postpartum depression issue. The American College of Obstetricians and gynecologists, together with the American Academy of Pediatrics, recommend using 10- item Edinburgh postnatal scale (EPDS) (Stewart & Vigod, 2016). Having these series of questions geared at…

Homeland security Natural disasters can strike anytime in any part of the globe, meaning that every individual, business, or organization will bear the consequences. People of the same communities need to come together to come up with solutions to natural disasters. Therefore, having a joint force will make it possible for people to detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to any form of natural disasters. Consequently, I can redefine homeless security as a center that has a mechanism of sharing important information in the shortest time possible through proper communication channels, public participation, and involvement of all the business sectors. Involving such personnel into the emergency team will help create a quick solution regarding any natural disasters. They are the people who bear the most consequences in the long-run. Thus, homeland security is a unit set that brings people of the same interests together, hence better solutions towards disasters. Apart from proper communication, creating a good infrastructure is critical when it comes to responding to disasters. Immediately after the identification of the likelihood of a disaster, there needs to be an…
