Politics has various stances in different nations. Some countries have peaceful politics, while others have devastating politics. Thus, it is the citizens’ role to engage people who will represent them in the right direction, in the political grounds. Thus, the media has currently played a central role in running politics. This discussion will focus on the part of media California politics.
The media is realized to play a significant role in both state and national politics. Also, the press extends its functions in legislation and ethical grounds (Savigny 227-293). Therefore, the media is referred to as the fourth branch of government because it has a bold influence on the legislative outcome. Debates regarding public policy affect those that such legislative decisions. For example, the media has the power to push a bill to the legislative branch, who will later sort it out accordingly (Micheli). Thus, the extent of covering the bill will affect its outcome. The media can bring to the surface what happens during the covering of the senatorial seating, accordingly.
The media is also realized to be biased in its coverage or lack of covering some live proceedings. Ensue the media might note a bill based on the interest of the news reporter. Also, the media can make the public realize the pending issue (Savigny 227-293). The politicians will try to create a good relationship with the press and draw them to work on their interest area. Otherwise, the media has a massive role in the state Capitol ethics because it has the responsibility of making a story on ethics, accordingly. Finally, some media will choose to oppose release from the press irrespective of the time and effort used by the press individuals to draft the information.
