With the continuous development of artificial intelligence technology, human society has gradually produced two kinds of views on artificial intelligence, and some people think that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and the other part is the opposite. Although artificial intelligence will lead to the automation of multiple tasks allowing humans to focus on creativity, it is a threat to traditional jobs. This includes marketing analysts, proofreading, receptionists, and driving jobs. With the development of better social platforms, it has led to social isolation among humans because of their dependence on digital assistant systems. Artificial Intelligence has had positive and negative effects on both social systems and the global economy.

The development of artificial intelligence has enabled previously impossible actions to become a possibility. Artificial intelligence is slowly taking over the world. It is gradually taking over previously human-dominated activities and automating them to require no human effort. Automated systems have spread to cover over half of the world, offering opportunities that seemed previously unimaginable, such as autonomous vehicles. Although technology has brought opportunity, it has also presented the human race with unprecedented threats, which therefore raises the question of whether it is here to better or worsen the future. Concerns include the possibility of data abuse. The artificial intelligence world is heavily reliant on data being fed to the system to train them in decision making. Although a new generation of more powerful computers is likely to create significant opportunities in the healthcare and education sector, it could because of job loss in other fields.

Artificial intelligence could cause social isolation. Although it has been attributed to the most advancement in communication, it could also cause social mannerism among people to become worse. Research indicates that people can become more conversant with digital assistants than they are with one another (Khakurel et al., 2019). With the development of digital assistants such as Siri, which helps many people navigate through life, the same Artificial Intelligence technology has made it difficult for people to communicate without the use of their phones. As a result, more and more people are spending more time on their devices and getting less connected to the world.

Artificial Intelligence has improved the efficiency of the workplace and the kind of work that humans do. When Artificial Intelligence is integrated into dangerous and repetitive tasks, it frees up humans to do work that is better equipped. This allows humans to put their time into more creative tasks.  When people are performing tasks that more engaging, then they get more job satisfaction and are able to be live happily. With improved monitoring abilities, artificial intelligence has enhanced the hours of productivity that society has to work on other matters. With the enabling of automation, society is able to focus on creating a better environment whereby people can be more productive without the involvement of repetitive tasks.

Artificial Intelligence has contributed highly to the loss of employment opportunities. With most operations been taken over by machines, many people have been laid off their jobs (Petropoulos, 2018). The automation has already taken over the transport industry by eliminating the traditional need to have physical drivers. With the development of artificial intelligence, it is now possible for a vehicle to move without the need for a physical driver. It has also eliminated the need to have marketing analysts. This is because the software has been developed with the ability to make more accurate predictions based on the market compared to physical marketing analysts. Artificial Intelligence is also responsible for the presence of proofreading software. This has eliminated the need to have proofreading jobs. Software such as Grammarly not only proofreads to eliminate spelling errors, it also improves language use and detects impractical sue of tenses. Despite the benefits that humans could possibly reap from growing technology, there are concerns that these same systems will bring imminent threats to human beings. Experts believe that, while Artificial Intelligence has proven to be a field that has opened up the world to new opportunities, it also threatens the taking of many more. This will lead to unemployment, which might widen the social gap further than it stands today. The dependence on smart systems for decision making may render the innovative, creative, technical, and cognitive skills that human beings currently hold as void (Barbieri et al., 2019). This is because, with time, human beings will become useless when the machines are capable of more accurate innovations than they have and hence take the jobs away from human beings.

Artificial intelligence has allowed the development of different industries that contribute to the economy. Experts have predicted that the coming of artificial intelligence will not only heighten the effectiveness of current systems and make work more accessible but also create employment opportunities. They predicted the matching and even exceeding human intelligence through robotics. Computers will soon have the ability to make extremely complex decisions, make reasonable moves, learn, identify patterns, speech recognition, and thorough language transmission (Aghion et al., 2017). This will require the creation of jobs for code experts and data scientists. The coming of smart systems will not only save time and money; they will offer the human race an opportunity to enjoy a customizable future. Healthcare may be one of the biggest beneficiaries of intelligent computers. Artificial Intelligence will be able to diagnose patients based on the information given and advocate for the treatment of the patients, thereby helping individuals to live healthier, thus reduce the workload of doctors. The public health sector is also bound to experience upgrading (Furman and Seamans, 2019). Through the collection of current patient data, computer systems will be able to provide more insight into sectors such as nutrition. Additionally, computer systems are likely to revolutionize the sector of education. This will enable learning to be much more accessible through the development of technology that helps accelerate the learning process and help ease the burden of tutors.

Although artificial intelligence still has some shortcomings, it is a technology that is continuously developing and improving, and we should treat it more rationally. A new generation of much more powerful computers is likely to be beneficial to human beings. It will bring unimaginable opportunities in healthcare, education, and transport systems. However, the technology also threatens the future that we look forward to as it might cause loss of jobs. This is because machines are slowly gaining skills that were previously possessed only by human beings and improving them. The future is, however, inevitable. It is, therefore, the duty of human beings to ensure that they can control the new technology they long to have so that it does not take every opportunity away from them.
