Beauty Standards
Dear Student:
I appreciated your insight into beauty standards in various countries within the world. I agree that there are both similarities and differences in social and cultural activities in the contemporary globe. I like your comprehension in explaining the similarities. Countries like the U.S, women indeed prefer to have curvaceous chest and backside and slim waist, similarly to women in Venezuelan. The latter involved in plastic surgery and illegal injection of silicone to buttocks, which has led to rising deaths as asserted by (Pao 4). The author puts it that it is genuinely disastrous and catastrophic to glance at women posing unprecedented mortality rates for the favor of enhancing unattained beauty. Therefore, it is precise that you have argued that women’s competition for embodiment competition has seen them suffer avoidable deaths.
Again, I agree with your insight into the dissimilarities present amid global nations about the embodiment of social and cultural practices. It is evident that several countries worldwide attempt to muster their success in beauty, which sets them apart from another nation. However, there are several countries worldwide that depict similarities when it comes to beauty standards. As a result, I liked your brilliant example of how you expounded the concept from the article (Pao 6). Brazilian women prefer smaller breasts, unlike American women who wish to have larger sizes of the chest. I also appreciated when you explained that besides the two countries having such dissimilarities, they might be sharing beliefs that greatly derrieres are a desirable beauty character. It still startles me to envisage how women’s continuous efforts within the globe try diligently to achieve unattainable standards of beauty.
