Baseball

Baseball is a sport that involves a bat-and-ball game. A baseball game is played between two contrasting sides who take turns stroking. However, baseball was broadly documented as a countrywide sport in the 19th century. Baseball is prevalent in the parts of North America. Baseball had a wild extent to the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, and other parts of the world. A remark was made in the 1860s on the baseball game, after the political war on how it seemed to entice marketable interests and this twisted it to be proficient. This paper aims at discussing some of the events that do happen in a baseball game.

In a baseball game, the pitchers typically spit on balls, which is said to be part of the game. For instance, baseball players tend to produce more spits during the game (Gilgan). However, the spitting is reckoned to be a tradition since the players always have something in their mouths. The motive could be because of the heaviness of the game. Moreover, the chewing gum was interrelated to the history of tobacco around the 1950s. The baseball players are also said to be consuming sunflower seeds to experience the yellow blossoming in the arena but not anymore. However, baseball is considered one of the games where players are permitted to snack throughout the game.

In conclusion, a spittle is taken to be part of the baseball game. The pitchers are fond of spitting into their gloves to unstiffen the leather. The pitchers get to lick their fingers rub them around on the ball before throwing it. However, due to the covid-19, the baseball game has been on hold. Nonetheless, it has been renowned that over 100 years, there have been changes in the baseball game. But the changes still pop up demand on whether the pitchers will still be able to pick the sunflower seeds out of their mouths since the spitball was formally banned before 1920.
