As I mentioned in the class, answer the following questions in 1-2 pages:
Considering that the interpretation of behavior, we must see it from the Biopsychosocial point of view. What explains that on national tests, White student groups tend to do better than Hispanic and Black minorities? And why Asians who are also a minority group do better than the previous groups
In 1977 George Engel conceptualized Biopsychosocial’s idea. He argued that under normal conditions, a person’s medical conditions entail analysis covering biological prospects and the social and psychological factors. While bio factors affect the pathological pattern, psycho is linked with the way people are affected mentally, behavior thoughts, or emotions. Social covers space in dealing with the surrounding environment, family issues working relationship, and general interaction.
In the United States of America, while we objectify students from a biopsychosocial point of view. Trends link the white students to performing better in national tests compared to the minority blacks students and Hispanic students. Although Asians are also the minority group in America, they tend to do much better compared to all the three associated races. From a biopsychosocial point of view, the interpretation of behavior is possible to inoculate an argument that both blacks and Hispanic minority students go through a lot of prejudice. At the same time, they compete with whites and Asians students. Psychologically, once a person’s mind is destabilized, it inflicts the stability of s student’s performance.
Socially, blacks and Hispanic students go through historical prejudice. The two minority races perform lowly compared to whites and Asians and can be linked to a biopsychosocial prospectus. Despite racial disparities, Asians are psychologically settled compared to blacks and Hispanic students. Asians are believed to be the real owner of the United States. Unlike Hispanic and blacks, whites and Asians students feel more at home and more obligated to feeling comfortable. The racial gap and the insecurities of being in another man’s land Bio psychosocially take influence. The Hispanic and blacks students emotionally are disturbed .this makes the students feel inferior; hence they tend to perform relatively low compared to the other two races.
