Article Summary
Estes argues that people should not buy anyone and Echo (Estes, 2017). Though with increased merits to human use, she goes contrary to those merits and directs users not to buy Echo. Though with a negative stance towards the gadget, he first praises it best side of it and then goes on to support his argument towards users and why they should not consider buying and using it at their respective homes. Firstly, he claims that three years ago, Echo was ranked the most ever-innovative device to be produced by Amazon. According to her, this was true but still goes on to urge users not to buy one and use. She urges users to ignore any prior praise, which, as analysts of electronic devices have recently placed on the device. To support her claims on why electronic users should not buy Echo, he highlights various reasons why people should not buy the device.
One of the main reasons which she provides is that Echo is currently valued more than other devices in the market. “Smart speakers are cheaper than ever, too” (Estes, 2017). Users are argued by the author to consider the savings which they get when they shop from other electronic devices and compare it with the price Echo is valued at in market a factor if considered wisely by users should push them more away from buying Echo. In supporting her arguments against buying the device, Ester argues that Echo is hackable and is more prone to thugs. Any internet home connected thing should bring you as a user greater quality of life and not making it hard (Estes, 2017). Currently, electronic users need something which is multipurpose and not prone to any negativity. In concluding her arguments; she says that there are many risks involved with owning Echo and which users should consider before purchasing it.
