Adjustments due to the pandemic
I am writing this letter on behalf of the MBA class of 2019. As a class, we would like to acknowledge the school’s efforts to ensure continuity of learning. We would also like to appreciate the school’s commitment to ensure that all students graduate on time which is a common goal that we also share.
Following our previous engagement, we pointed out that the pandemic has necessitated adjustments that have resulted in the students being adversely affected financially. As a result, we are unable to fulfill commitments to the school before the onset of the pandemic. The curfew in place as necessitates the change in the mode of delivery from an in-class experience to online teaching. We are grateful for the school’s consideration and issuing of the 4800 shilling rebate for snacks that are no longer being consumed by students.
Based on the above background and our collective willingness to graduate on time, we would like to propose the following moving forward:
- an 8% waiver on the second year fees to be applied to all students. 10% waiver on those who clear their school fees by 31st July 2020.
- All students to be allowed to complete their course as per the schedule regardless of their fees status. Students should be allowed to attend class, do exams and defend their dissertation with prejudice.
